I have 4yo sony z4 tablet which has the same specs with this. Its still rocking solid for everyday use, comic reader, pdf, office, videos, casual non 3D AAA games (Alto, zombie plants). But LG should have put modern mid range SOC instead since its more faster and more power efficient than that 4yo hi end soc, plus that 8000mah might could go full a week with it.

No buy because of Bluetooth 4.2. True wireless headphones like Galaxy Buds won't work with that.

Also a quick comparison between the battery life of a pixel and an iphone 7 shows you that the pixel has better battery life despite having large and higher res display.

You perceive the sd730G as a cheap mid-range SoC but in fact for the manufacturer it's only a few bucks cheaper than sd855. The reason it exists is that when you sell a few million units of a cheap mid-range phone you save several million dollars. So in reality that 730G would have cost LG way more than sd821. That's also why Apple used the A10 which has similar performance to sd821 in their last year iPads - coz its a lot cheaper than using a new 7-8nm SoC.

And specifically 730G just wipes its ass with 821 in literally everything.

But it doenst matter here on this 1080p panel tablet because a sd730 would have been more than fast enough.. but what does matter is that the sd 821 is an old obsolete not very power efficient chip.. so the battery and heat performance would have been way way better with a sd 730..

I really don't have any idea WHY the flagship chipsets get used in phones for only 1 year? But some mid-range and budget chipsets (like SD660) get used for 2-3 years?!
I just can't get it. What is wrong with the last year's flagship chipsets? IMO the SD855 will be much more powerful than the SD7xx series that will be made in 2020, CPU-wise and GPU-wise!
Why they don't use them, at least for the flagship killers? It would pretty much lower the price.

It uses adreno 530 which is a beast in higher resolutions other than full HD. The 670 and the 730G even cripples on screen resolutions above Full HD. Get your facts straight boy and read some books.
