And the Pixel 4 looks like a candidate for that. Even the recent iPhones since the 6s did not suffer that kind of damage from bend tests.

Pressure plates, lab conditions etc will never match real life use. In lab conditions, the iPhone 6 Plus did not suffer the bending issue, but in real life bending with human hands it bent easily. Bottom line is that the Pixel 4 priced at a $1000 is a poorly designed phone, both structurally and hardware wise, as well as software wise.

The amount of pressure you need to apply is easily attainable if you accidentally sit on your phone. The bed, pillows, etc., can mitigate the pressure but it will still be greater than what Jerry can exert. So yes, it is a real situation or simulates a pressure that the phone can suffer by accident. And sitting on it when you don't see that you left it in that place is quite common.

In such an expensive phone it is not admissible. You are supposed to also pay for the quality and design of the materials including the frame and its rigidity. In a Note 7 understandable, it is a cheap phone. But on a $1000 phone it is unacceptable.

Will Google blame Huawei for this too?/Or it`ll be an armoured Pixel 4XL,with cast iron/unobtanium case for additional $499...to keep your precious piece of.....safe

It only makes iPhone 11 shines and go beyond expectations.

Pixel 4 would be good for 700$. Bend test is not important? why would you spend 1000$, if competition does better.

Buying the Pixel is like burning 1000 dollars for nothing. I mean yeah, camera, software and 90hz is great but it doesn't mean that it's great overall as a phone. Better buy something else which doesn't seem like burning your money. It's not a problem for rich people but it doesn't change the fact that you burned 1000 dollars of your money for a trash like a Pixel.

Unlike the iphone that I have seen many bent ones in the wild. I think the Pixel 4 will be fine and it won't end up like Apple's unfortunate design issue.

The amount of pressure you need to apply on it to crack will never happen in real life.
Plus the jerry guy dont use pressure plates for how much pressure he is applying to these devices to say they break easy or hard.

If he would have pressure plates on these test, then we can say what is strong and what is stronger and so on. This bending test of he's is just a joke. We can see how much hes hands start to shake on the pressure he apply on the device so it will crack.

Not that i defend Pixel or anything, but i really do hate this guy videos of the bending test without pressure plates.

Pixel 3's release was a disaster, took months to fix problems and they're still not solved because of endless RMA's and unreceived Google Store credits.

Now Pixel 4's "great features" like Project Soli (completely useless/not working) and 90Hz screen (needs minimum 75% brightness to work) topped with somewhat weak builds and small batteries... damn. That is disappointing from a billion dollar giant such as the information dealing Google.

Pixel 1 was okay but software was a disaster, Pixel 2 is good otherwise but the battery isn't good anymore (personal experiences). After P2 everything seemed to fall apart.

Google really has to reconsider its design and manufacturing process because virtually every Pixel phone had major flaws. I'm starting to believe they just unable to make good devices.
