what people don't undersstand is that iPhone isnt a pocket office. like i forgot what his name is said, its not a smart phone. its just not smart enough to be one. lol, but back to the point is, iphone is just an good mp3 phone with a little more features. What made it sand out is the new control system which was a break to old fasion phones. However, i just hope wm7 can do somethin of their own than just making it seem more like a rip off iphone's os. iphone is great n all (though i dun like apple) just gotta admit, they did a ok job for their first phone. but in the end, wm provides more user freedom. its more for people who does much much more with their phones than normal. and keeps everything more updated. iphone is more for just, i bought it, syc it, i don't want to bother with it anymore expect for uploading junk into my phone. not saying u cant on iphone, just its less meant for that n much much more of a hassle. anyway, windows, please just do something nice n new with wm7. such as, running xp apps! jkjk, but once again im loving my freedom with windows.

the iphone is not a smartphone, so the speed of the basic features cant be compared with a smartphone... instead compare it with a standard nokia och sonyericsson phone, and the iPhone is the slower one.

The User interface on the iphone is not as good as we thought when we first saw it. Its a nice step forward. But so was the Neonode N1, it just wasnt a commercial sucsess...
Plus, several of research-centras around the world was already working on new ways to control your mobile before the iPhone was first made public. Its not fully developed, it just forces other manufactors to release user interfaces, that they didnt have the time to finish properly.
But some companys certainly got a much needed wake-up...

If not for the iPhone, we would have seen these kind of interfaces, within a year or so... but better developed...

And nokia touchphones would have been 1 or 2 years further down the line (I know, they have done one or so model in the past).

The future looks bright, and by 2010, we should see some mobiles, with real initiuative controls.
Hopefully, by then, with decent camera modules as well...

One step in the right direction.
Controling a mobile decive should feel natural...
Sure, when you first get a WinMob 7 device, all this new ways to control it, will make you feel like a kid, getting a christmas gift... youll play a lot. But then, when you start using it for real, few of the controls will feel natural, at all... and you are back to using the stylus...

The same thing goes for the iPhone!

Microsoft a year behind Apple? OK... let's look at the evidence...

          - iPhone has a nice UI, but given the choice for business functions Windows Mobile is FAR better.
          - iPhone has one form, Windows Mobile effectively has many.
          - You can have a Windows Mobile Device with equivalent specs to an iPhone FREE on contract.
          - iPhone does not support many BASIC functions such as MMS because Apple want to change the whole landscape single-handedly... and yet take no notice that users of ANY OTHER TYPE OF PHONE are less than guaranteed to have e-mail set up on their handsets.

Put simply, Windows Mobile adapts to a variety of applications, the iPhone forces the user to conform to its requirements. In that sense phones have offered more flexibility than the iPhone since 2002 when the Nokia 7650 hit the market and introduced Smartphone OSes to the masses.

I agree that OSX is fabulous software... but until Apple removes it's head from its own rear end it will NEVER realise its full potential...

Until then I shall use my Nokia 6300 and Panasonic MP3 CD Player safe in the knowledge that I am £200.00 better off and also own equipment that outlives the average iPod and is less of a target for fashion victim thieves.

This prouves Microsoft is at least a year back of Apple instead of user interface. Also the speed on Windows devices is terrible... I have a tytn ii from HTC and its very very slow. Shame on Microsoft!

              2009...
              It will be to late...
We will probably se an update of the Iphone OS, by that time...
              give us WinMo 7, 2008!!
And support accelerometer and gyros.... the camera solution doesnt fully work for SE so why should it for any of the WinMo phone makers??
about the batterytime, an accelerometer has the same problem... try to use the stepcounter on the N95....

It will probably be too heavy for most mobiles, like every Windows OS...

Minimum requirements: 1,6 GHz processor and 2 GB RAM memory! hahaha
