Video is better too at CC9 Pro. 60fps huawei still cannot defeat 30fps CC9 Pro in video.

And slow motion? I already told you, I don't care about that and you cannot change this.

Anonymous, 09 Nov 2019did you know why Pixel always use "outdated" SoC? becaus... moreThat means that the phone won't age well, though. The optimisations will be completed on most games within the first few months after the chipset has been publicly available, which renders the old SoCs, well, obsolete in comparison.

Iwontbuythat, 09 Nov 2019"Where did you get the information that CC9 Pro does low li... moreIn daylight I would say in daylight CC9 Pro can resolve more textures, but you're completely missing out on one thing - dynamic range. It's wider on Mate 30 Pro with more balanced out exposure, whereas on CC9 Pro the metering seems to be slightly off in some scenes resulting in blown highlights. In low light CC9 quickly turns into a mess with soft textures and lack of HDR, and while night mode definitely helps reigning down shadows, it oversharpens while also introducing some fusion artefacts. Here Mate 30 Pro is consistently better with better intricate texture renditions and higher dynamic range, and of course better extreme low light capability.
Then the lens quality, which is better on Mate 30 Pro as well. In DxO's scoring system CC9 Pro lost artifacts points because of corner softness, minor but noticeable purple fringe, and so on, and the sample pictures do show them. Mate 30 Pro is being able to resolve details far more consistently across corners, whereas CC9 Pro... look, it's still excellent for the price, but you just can't compare it to a phone that probably has the sharpest lens on any smartphones.

Finally I can clearly see the difference between 30fps and 60fps videos since my brain function properly and so are my eyes, thankfully. I'm not quite sure if you're just trolling me or actually tricking yourself into thinking that the difference in frame rate is not noticeable, but let me tell you this: It's NOT invisible.

"But I personally don't need slow motion"
"So I am not even going to take that into consideration"
Sorry but that's typical "I don't care about this so it's irrelevant" logic. I never asked for your personal preference, Iwontbuythat argument thank you.

They've already compared everything you're talking about and given both devices the same score. What I'm talking about is not compared.

So I ask again; With a device capable of recording only 1080P@30 FPS while each feature is active, How is it possible for a device capable of recording 4K@60FPS video to receive the same score? A joke is not funny. If it's real, it's really funny.

because they know if they use newest SoC then dev app cant enough optimize them unlike Apple. use outdated SoC often give you better gaming than the newest one.

DxOMark is for f... morescore went high due to better zoom. their point system is actually quite good but fools only read the total . while they give points to many things. i compared their detailed scores cc9 pro had a bit of better texture but in some fields 11 pro max was better like exposure and artifacts. so one has to read full reviews then take conclusions not just based on total.

Don't buy this phone if you think of playing demanding games at high settings.
Personally, I don't play games on phone, but plenty of people do. This phone's chip is just outdated, and it will be even more outdated as more demanding games come out.
Reviews on youtube suggest that it can't even play current demanding games at high settings.

If you need much more than just a camera phone, this might not be the choice for you.

I compared samples from DxO and GSM arena. Huawei Mate 30 Pro is equal to the Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro at night.

At daylight, CC9 Pro wins over Huawei.

As for the video, it can't do 60fps 4k. But the difference between 60fps(huawei) and 30fps(xiaomi) is invisible when watching the video. I watched both Huawei and Xiaomi video samples, and Huawei doesn't seem better. But huawei does cost more.

You could see the difference in slow motion. But I personally don't need slow motion and I don't use slow motion. So I am not even going to take that into consideration.

The numbers means nothing if the video has noise, artifacts, not good stabilization, bad dynamic range, color accuracy, etc. There are a lot of problems that can low the scores.

This is not like the CPU benchmarks where people only search for the best numbers. And with the added NPUs and AI the numbers today aren't also as important as before. Less maybe for Apple's sheeps and their Bionic blind mind.

First of all, I didn't read the review in detail. I also understand the photo side of scoring. But the video score is bullshit.

On one side there is a device that can record 4K@60FPS video without turning off any features with all the cameras on the other side there is a device that can record only 1080p@30FPS video without turning off any features. And their scores are the same. Is this a joke? Where's the camera?

Highlights are blown out and the details are mushy in shadows, gcam will be able to save it for sure but if you're solely talking about the straight-out-of-box performance of these two, CC9 Pro doesn't come close once the light goes down.

As for the video, CC9 Pro is capped at 4K30 for the regular recording mode and 720p 240fps for the slow motion. Mate 30 Pro can record 4K60 and 1080p 240fps/960 fps respectively thanks to more powerful chipset.
