It doesn't have flexibility of running any other os than OS X.. And about android or chromeos that's a bug LIE...

Even people use Mac system for graphic design and 3d modeling the least way possible.. Even all most all Mac professionals use windows for gfx workloads..

Touch Bar was a mistake. I saw a guy on the train with a 2018 MacBook Pro. His Touch Bar screen was stripped, leaving only exposed underparts. He couldn’t care less.

MacBook Pros are used by Bo... moreWhere i work before it was us programmers that had the powerful laptops, the bosses and sales guys used light and portable stuff. For a boss its best to have Macbook or Macbook Air, i now manage my own company but went for 13” top spec macbook pro since i dont need to bring it often, if i had use for more meeting and presentation use i would have preferred the 12” Macbook.

An older mac mini with slower cpu and less ram but with ssd is much faster, in fact i say extremely fast compared to what youre used to. No macs work well with regular hdd.

Stopped reading at AMD GPU. When will we get Apple GPU! I just gave away a stack of laptops with broken AMD Gpus, this insanity has to stop, high end laptops should last much much longer, and they do when they dont have AMD graphics.

I'm asking if this is th... moreit's not about powerful, i could speak for myself as a mac user, the office i work at has a mac mini 2014 i5, 4gb ram, 2tb hdd. it does the office work like advertise, spreadsheet, word processing, email, browsing, and other computer work. the cpu is a 4th generation intel and yet it boots fast, although it could be faster with a ssd, once you enter your password your up and running, no lag, no waiting time when you click an app it opens directly especially after booting up, compared to windows on the same generation cpu. i only notice this speeds while using a razer blade stealth 7th generation i7 16gb ram and a ssd.

updates on the OS is not done on a staggered basis. the simplest way to put it, it just works, it really just work even if it is already an old model

I'm asking if this is the most powerful laptop since everyone seems to choose them for a working environment and beyond. Every time there is a leak of a phone in a subway or a picture of an office meeting I see a MacBook

Takes a lot of courage to build a 16" laptop.
I wish Dell, HP, Lenovo had the foresight to build anything larger than 15".
                          Apple is a real leader.

surprising move.. dropped the 15 incher, and move to 16 inch.

I guess this time we cannot make complains really... the price it self it's very great for a new machine as that.

And dears... 64Gb of RAM for a laptop and a starting storage space of 512Gb.

                                      Nice one.

MacBook Pros are used by Bosses and higher ups. It can run and monitor all its underlings, with style and power, reach their offices and dock with massive screens. But mostly use the 13 inches, as its more portable.

Its not target at gamers, no 144hz, no gtx, no internal expension, no flashy lights. So students .. (Who we all know games) have no desire for this class of device.

Sure Macbook Air / Macbook Pros can attach external GPU and daisy chain a 144hz monitor to achieve great gaming.. that solution is very expensive and not practical for the average joe.
