The new Motorola Razr is here with a 6.2" Flex View foldable screen

14 November 2019
It has Snapdragon 710, one 16 MP camera and a 2,510 mAh non-removable battery.

GSM Arena editors should take out "2019" in the name for this phone. If no price or release date, it's very likely it won't be released until 2020 similar to the Surface Duo.

This seems like a novelty / collector's item even though if I owned it, I wouldn't use it as one. I would use it seriously as my daily driver which is mostly used as a Wi-Fi hotspot for my other phone I bring with me.

Again, didn't love the original RAZR. Loving this one because something old became something fresh and different. It's like watching Cobra Kai. I was never into the Karate Kid films. I'm now so into the Karate Kid universe thanks to Cobra Kai. Some revivals do work.

Now if I had to choose between this Razr vs Surface Duo, I'll pick the latter. I want to be able when watching a video to tilt the screen without needing a kickstand. And also texting would be cool on it and certain games Nintendo DS-style.

Tsabes, 14 Nov 2019Jeez, why is everyone so surprised about the price? This is... moreI think the main gripe is that the price point makes it difficult to see who the target audience is. Because, if Motorola is targeting early tech adopters who can easily shell out $1500 on a first gen product, then why are the specs so mediocre?

Early adopters who're going to nonchalantly throw this money, likely already purchased a high-end flagship phone in 2019, like a Samsung s10+, or an iPhone 11 pro, and they will be used to a certain degree of smoothness and high-end performance that they will undoubtedly not see in Motorola's mediocre spec'd phone.

Take Xiaomi's Mi Mix Alpha; entirely new form factor at an eye-watering price point around 2500 EUR. But it comes with the latest and greatest in specs, making it a welcome experience for early adopters, rather than a trade-off situation, which customers who can afford this price tag, aren't used to having to deal with. Trade-offs are the hallmark of the budget-buyer. So, yes, I can see some individuals buying it just for the novelty, certainly. But I expect a lot more potential buyers will write it off, just because it simply doesn't compare in performance to what they can afford to get, and probably already have.

                Nopeeeee.

Jeez, why is everyone so surprised about the price? This is a first gen foldable device, it's obviously expensive. The chipset choice leaves me puzzled. Ok, I'll just say it: it's stupid. And too bad the camera is not on par with today's standards. Otherwise, I love the looks and practicality, Motorola is on the right track. I'd love to see this phone with a triple camera and lower price tag, would definitely give it a shot. Maybe in 2 years?

Having a nail scratchable screen is no for me but if it withstands hohs scale 5 like any other cellhpone it will be great.

Could they not have at least used decent resolutions on both displays?? No ois, only 5mp secondary, midrange chip, low capacity battery, and below par resolutions yet costs almost as much as the galaxy fold which is miles ahead.

For those headphone jackheads around here, the original RAZR V3 has no headphone jack. So it's fitting that it has to be this way. I mean, there's no space for the jack considering that the chin is fully packed.

what a lil gem of a phone regardless of the specs. The folding mechanism is quite clever allowing for no gap when closed, and allowing for a decent enough fold radius for the screen to be less prone to creases.

This phone clearly has its target audience; same as the V3 of old - providing a statement through style and class instead of the value for money powerhouse.

                                      Slim, sleek, beautiful, and nostalgic.
