Anonymous, 25 Mar 2012I respect the android and iOS and symbian software develope... moreactually BB is the most secure OS out there, that's why most companies prefer BB. Data Encryption is unmatched. call that living in stone age. the only drawbacks for RIM is technical specs which is not quite a disadvantage to them since their target markets are businesses and companies not geeks.

There something you don't understand. Android, iOS and BlackBerry are the 3 major OS. Even BADA from samsung sell better than WP all together. The fact that alot of compagnie depend of the blackberry services you can not count them out. Blackberry is going to launch is BB10 on smartphone the same os that playbook have. I did try WP7 it's boring. BB10 has better chance than wp7. The fact that you can put android app on bb10 is another plus. Are you following me.We already have 3 major os and WP isn't in this. I know a lot of died hard Blackberry user their not going to change for WP. Am a fandroid i like open souce that's why i also like Meego and Symbian but there are dead but not blackberry. Blackberry is here to stay my friend. It's going to be hard for WP to beat 3 proving platform That already has huge ecosystem. Am not a huge fan of Blackberry but i give them credit because they have the best services of the 3 major OS all encrypted. Do you understand now???????

Here are some of the negatives of RIM :
              1. You need (Read Must) to have BIS which is costlier than EDGE Services offered by service providers.
              2. RAM is the application memory. I use BB9300 which has meager 256MB of memory. Out of which 180MB is consumed by OS. What the use the the app world then. A few gtalk / BBM like apps and you are done.
              3. When Apple / Samsung were releasing Ghz processors with 1GB RAM, RIM released it's flagship model of BB Torch with 624 MHz of Processor and 512MB of RAM. Do you expect to turn your fortunes around with this Vision.
              4. RIM strategist still think that, Push mail and Chat app can be a USP :) Please awake and see around.
              5. What RIM is doing right now; it should have been done 3 years back. But they failed to recognize the threat just like Old Nokia with their Symbian :) My Advise .. Keep your enemies closer !!!

android/iOS is BETTER than BB. You can receive e-mail FREE with wifi at home/work, whereas in BB you NEED to have BIS (Blackberry Internet Service) which is very bad in reliability.

                      So, BB dead....

You might be surprised to know that EVEN american politician have change from BB to iOS/android. At the end of 2011, only 70% still use BB, and according to the survey, around 80% out of that 70% said they gonna change to iphone/android before 2012 over.

You got to admit it, there is nothing RIM can do to avoid loosing customer. BB OS is sux for developer, user, and all.

The batteries go for miles and they got push-mail, always had, mails aren't saved to phone but on a server. And then there's the COMPRIMATION!! Not all of us have an unlimited phone-plan. Look I'm a big fan of Android or IOS, even the new windows phones look promissing. Yes BB got stuck in their own ways, but we would all be much better of if that technology would be shared. again, almost EVERY politician uses a blackberry and it's not because they like the look

                                    The chart doesn't lie!!!!
and it's even uglier for RIM in Q1 2012.

Android/iOS really change the game. The phone right now is not a phone anymore. It's a connector of us into digital world. and RIM failed at competing in this segment. while the other OS got a good apps to compete RIM in BBM. So, RIM is un-innovative and dead... bye bye RIM.

for those of you who write here that RIM is good because BBM, you haven't see the big picture. There were lots of BBM-like apps. and all is better than RIM solution because it's open (no tied to certain OS). That's the one that make RIM dead now.
