The Party will go as far as the global level to provide cover for Huawei's various immoral activities, like stalling the anti-trust probes into first Motorola and Nokia Siemens then Qualcomm and NXP years later, effectively obstructing their mergers, generating severe disruption of business activities. Huawei is also unapologetically promoted by the Foreign Ministry, a strong hint of collusion. With the Party having expended so much political capital on Huawei, Huawei has to be the Party's good pet.

For reference the US never exploited their market position to this extent when it was the largest single market, it's been at least half a century that it's easy for foreign entities to do business in the US, CCCP and now the CCP aside though. Yes, big bad CCP, its true.

Smart move! Can OZs expect Telstra and vodafone for the 5G tech? Their 4G are slow with super weak single anyway, why they need 5G lol.
The 'national interest' is higher than anything. For sure. But what kind of national interest comes first? For AU is 'mateship' but not development I can tell.

The US banned Huawei is fine. But when it goes to tell everyone else to ban Huawei and ZTE by giving them pressure without any evidence, that's kinda hegemonism.

China, US are same. Btw China has one of the most advanced systems for their own people in China. They are able to control own people very good that's why internet is so restricted there.

And probably even without any idea that your data was travelling through their telecomunications equipment. That that USA goverment can't prove of have backdoors installed more than those that NSA require for spy themself....
