Working in a phone store means I like to be able to show customers the latest software. Unfortunately I've had customers showing it to me because mine is an unlocked phone on the o2 network still awaiting the upde. I checck it twice a day now and still nothing. This better be worth it!!!

When using custom launchers, not TouchWiz, on ICS "flipping" fast between startpages it can sometimes suddenly decide to go left when I order it to go right, or to the right even though I move my finger to the left!

GPS-problems no more, 27 Mar 2012The GPS-fix problems on some devices (including mine) is fi... moreOn my GB, ki8, it takes less than 5 seconds to get a fix on 6 or more sattelites from within my "bunker" appartment! ICS, lpq, made everyhing worse for me, even though I did a factory reset both before and after the upgrade to ISC using KIES! The scrolling is extremly bad, it lag and acts as if it is on "rollers" in jumps/steps and can suddenly jump into "hyperspace" if I scroll a little bit faster but still not really fast at all but other times I can move my fingers and the scroll have a hard time to decide if it should move the page or list... at all. I feel as if I have no control over the scrolling speed anymore! With ICS my S2 often lag more than my old S, S1, ever did even before any lagfix! many games and apps do not work at all, or work very laggy, on ICS, even though ICS still is Android and there really should not be any reason for this many backwards incompatibilities! Real Racing 2 is unplayable and Miren browser lag, and it get really warm/hot when do simple thing like light webbrowsing and when playing flashmovies it feels close to overheating and this heat is ofcourse making the batterylife really short! When used while charging the battery it drains faster than the charger can charge the battery!
ICS did not really bring any real important improvment at all!

If you go to XDA a guy there has posted a version of XWLP3 without any O2 stuff in it at all. That's the once that I've flashed. Super smooth.

Who are these individuals that say ICS works like a dream?!?!?!?! I updated via odin as soon as it was dropped and it was the XXLPQ firmware. Everything did indeed work (except some apps), but overall ICS sucked major *ss. The lag was almost crippling and silly things like taking 'contacts' off the 'phone' menu and the way pinch/zoom was sooo laggy on an internet page, was there really a need? I've had the GS2 since launch and I love it but ICS just ruined it. It was worse than my jailbroken iphone 3g!!!! I just had to go back to 2.3.6. With this o2 official release can anyone comment on the overall responsiveness and experience after a few hours of use? Thanks to all.

The GPS-fix problems on some devices (including mine) is finally fixed with the new update. At least on my swedish update. Fast and stable fix with 5 meter accuracy. Just give it some cold start extra time (10-20 minutes) in an area with free skyview and no tall buildings around. From then on it takes just 10-20 seconds.
