Verbal_Criminal, 03 Apr 2012By the way you replied... like your addressing the senate c... moreI can barely understand a word you have written there. How on earth does a bad experience with an android phone directly come about from a good experience with an iPhone?
You will also note I directly compared 2 similar phones in terms of specs. In fact the galaxy pro has better specs than the 3GS. unfortunately android is a poor, bloated OS that doesn't work well at all on the galaxy pro making it feel like a kids toy compared to the similarly priced 3GS.
My response was a direct reply to your assertion that apple fans are incapable of an intelligent argument.
Your response to this was a childish dribble. Littered with grammatical and spelling errors, and seemingly without an intelligible point.
P. S. intelligent has 2 Ls.
Even when typed in block capitals

Anonymous, 30 Mar 2012Judging by the grammatical & spelling errors in your un... moreBy the way you replied... like your addressing the senate chambers of alderaan in starwars...seems your trying so hard to sound...errr... INTELIGENT.
sigh.... your complaining much on what you have experienced w/ android. You've been through that experience not because of the poor droid's fault but by the growing stupidity of using an iPhone. iOS is for APPLE alone, (kindly count the phone) whilst android covers a lot of phone manufacturers and hardware specifications that will vary the offered capabilities from what is written on a paper. Flexibility would be under adroids flag...meaning to say that what you can do is not based on the OS itself but w/ the hardwares that it'll be working with. better check the spec sheet before you complain. and why are you jhere if you don't like android? to complain? and will your complains be heard by samsung, LG, HTC and several other manufacturers ou there in this post? no right? then what? your here to RANT. Texas, 29 Mar 2012Why is it that in most Android posting, there was to be som... moreJudging by the grammatical & spelling errors in your unintelligible rant, one can only chuckle at the irony of your accusations that apple fanboys are incapable of answering intelligently.
The fact that you even put intelligently in block capitals to highlight your point simply makes reading your rant even more humorous.
For the record I have recently been given an android phone to use for work & I find the paucity of apps available which run as smoothly as on my iPhone is shocking. The whole thing feels unfinished & I'm forever having to tell it to close apps that I haven't opened or wanted to open such as google maps, latitude etc as they're eating away at RAM & battery life.
It's just a shocking thing to behold.
And before anyone starts on the tired argument that it's not about the apps. That's exactly what a smartphone is about. The very qualification to be classified as a smartphone is the ability to run an OS that is capable of installing & running 3rd party software ie. Apps.
And I was quite surprised to see that my android phone doesn't support flash. Judging by most of the half baked illiterate responses on this forum it's in the top 3 reasons to go for android over iOS.
Also I heard that Sky Go had finally come to Android. But it seems that it's only for a small handful of devices. How extraordinarily bad is that? on iOS it works on all their devices.
So it seems to me that if you want a powerful device that runs 3rd party software extremely smoothly, has no compatibility issues, surfs the internet flawlessly, & perhaps most importantly, receives regular updates on the very day that the update is released globally, then there's only one choice for the discerning consumer.
Oh & you're also guaranteed to get the best, high quality apps months, sometimes years in advance of android (if it gets them at all).
For the record the Android phone I got given was a Samsung Galaxy Pro. I know it's supposed to be a mid range device but spec wise it's actually got better specs than an iPhone 3GS, yet the iPhone 3GS absolutely trounces it across the board in terms of speed, ease of use, stability & capability.

nick, 30 Mar 2012thr z still no official gingerbread update for dell streak.... moreyou have to get dell streak and use it. Dell has long released the official gingerbread 2.3.3 which you can flash on any dell streak. Its joy to use. Please stop judging dell streak on its former android 1.6. Get and use it on its official froyo 2.2.2 or on official gingerbread bread and you will not like to waste your money on the note.

Samsung GALAXY Note is my next phone for d line. B4 it
came out i have desire it so much dat i rather get it dan to
get an iphone 4s. I know some of you will say y did i
compare dis with GALAXY NOTE. Lets check it together:
they both have dual core cpu an iphone4s has 1.0GHZ
While NOTE has 1.4GHZ, it has more wider screen dan an iphone, they both have internal memory of 16gb/32gb
(although iphone4s has64gb) but Note has space for
external memory upto 32gb iphone4s has none, Iphone4s
has a Ram of 512mb but Note has 1Gb, a Note is also
friendly it has java&radio bt our iphone4s has none,
battery life of Note is 820h on standby while iphone4s has 200h.
To crown it, Galaxy Note N7000 will not tear your pocket
and you will still have all the goodies but iphone '' na
name e just carry for head''. Only say i no get money for
now,i for done buy am since, but all is well.
Any grammatical error just read meaning to it, Lol!

Zona, 29 Mar 2012Hey people I love my dell streak running original gingerbre... moreWe heard the Dell Streak had really bad lag issues, and its heavier and thicker. They aren't the same. Note is thinner, had a Super AMOLED HD screen, better battery efficiency, and has an active Wacom S pen matrix.

There's no doubting that Sammy are riding high at the moment, and they deserve to - they've pretty much put Android on the map single-handedly with the GS2...
The only danger now is that's they're release so many handsets, diluting the 'galaxy' branding - that they may experience issues similar to HTC, with every phone looking a bit too similar, and not enough distinction between flagships and mid-range phones... Something Sony and HTC are still guilty of this year...
I think 2013 they should get rid of at least 1/3 of their portfolio and start focusing on the 4 or 5 models that have really taken off and start investing into serious design / tech / software upgrades...
For me, if they can release a Note2 by the end of this year (the first was release October last year? no?) then I think I'd get it over the GS3... Nothing has come out of Sony / HTC camp that's worth looking at - too many compromises re: expandable memory / lack of radio...

Hey people I love my dell streak running original gingerbread 2.3.3 smoothly. Whatever the note does it can do it better. What matters is huge screen and the android version the phone is running. If you judge the streak by its former android 1.5 u gonna hate it but upgrade it and u have the best of phones.

Often accused of being merely a copycat, Samsung shows that it can be innovative by itself. They're big enough to absorb some market fails, but still, bringing this Note on the market required some guts.

The problem with the Streak is that it came before it's time. Tablets hadn't caught on so the in-between niche hasn't been created yet. If the Note came out at that time, I think it would have failed as well - simply because the context was all wrong, it didn't make sense back then.
Now that tablets are all the rage and smartphones are becoming super popular, an in-between device makes a LOT of sense if you don't want to get a tablet AND a smartphone.

I have the unfortunately experience of getting a Dell Streak (wasn't thinking at that time) and I must say that I probably spent 30 mins in total before I put it away. The Note on the other hand is so much better that I am starting to doubt whether I can use anything smaller from now on. I have even purchase a leather case that double as a wallet and now it is all I carry. It is truly the all in 1 device for me.
