27 November 2019
Besides the high refresh rate screen, the Snapdragon 845 has a fast GPU and is running a near-stock Android 9 Oreo.

I've had it for over 3 years now, still works perfectly fine, from performance in games (runs games better than flagship phones that cost 2-3x as much), to general use and battery life. Only complaint is that the camera app (software, hardware is good) is super basic and often freezes up, but that can kind of be solved by using another app from the app store.

Hardware wise it still out-specs or at least matches the soon-to-release iPhone Pro Max which costs more than 3 times this, in nearly every category except for max screen brightness, which is hilarious.

Kangal, 27 Nov 2019I've seen it go for about USD $250, and at that price, it's... moresony released a statement about this "hidden" 120Hz refresh rate on their flagships the recent years saying they wanted to "strike balance between performance and battery life" that's why they have chosen to disable the option. display experts though who tested these flagships purported to have 120Hz screens found that sony was lying- these flagships can only go as high as 75Hz or as much as any 60Hz panel would; beyond 75Hz sony displays either stutter or completely turns off. i would believe what experts say because no one ever has effectively enabled 120Hz on these xperia flagships.

Make a Razer Phone 3 instead, who wants a gaming phone with old Snapdragon 845 when Snapdragon 855 and 855+ are available and 865 will be presented soon ?

                300$ is a good deal.
The Razr phone 2 was a big improvement over the Razr phone 1.
Pricing and lack of availability Killed its potential.

gives you 120hz and crappy everything else for $300 ... lmao

Slickdeals had it for $199 at Walmart but so many of us could never find it through Brickseek. Some had it for as little as $159.

I would still not pay $299 for this. I still don't like the large size. If only $199, then yes. I got my Essential Phone for $224 ($249.55 w/ tax). It was never that low brand new ever again but it dropped that low for a day after it was only $250 before.

Just wait it out. Amazon might do a clearance on this and I'll get it at that $199 price.

Hssh, 27 Nov 2019For $150, i can get the lg v30 or v35. Razer battery sucks! NahThoe LG displays aint 120Hz tho

Shame the Razer Phone 3 isn't released anytime soon. The CEO mentioned it'll wait for 5G to be worldwide but why not release a 4G version of it

I've seen it go for about USD $250, and at that price, it's unbeatable.

There's also the Sony XZ Premium which has been at that price for some time now.
It also has IP68 Waterproofing, front-firing stereo loudspeaker, a 120Hz screen with Full-4K and Mobile-HDR support. It's got decent performance and clean software. Where it falls behind is with battery life and rear camera. So it's not as good as the Razer Phone 2, or the equally competent Google Pixel 3XL. Though compared to a Brand New 2019 Midrange device, it's certainly the smarter choice.

Whackcar, 27 Nov 2019That's great and all, but what about Razer Phone 3? Dead, alongside Project Linda. I guess Razer can't properly come up with a redesign (speakers and display) while keeping the Sony OmniBalance or Nextbit Robin box phone design to put it on a Laptop shell (Project Linda).

What...a...steal. The specs of this bad boy are really great for $300. If it weren't for the battery life, I'd grab this in a heartbeat. It's funny how much better it actually is compared to the pixel 4 XL; considering GCam had definitely been imported to this phone.

That's great and all, but what about Razer Phone 3?
