To all those who want to update to 4.0.4 go to dripple and search for nexus s....
The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't have led flash and menu under the sliding bar on the top.

got my nexus s updated April 14, 2012. got scared at first coz unable to go online with data connection. only wifi is possible. after 3 days of mobile OFFLINE, finally got it figured out, need to RESET the APN. and i live happily ever after. THE END

Received the ota update to 4.0.4 from my 2.3.6 (128 mb) about an hour ago and just finished updating my Nexus S. The update process went through without any problems as expected and ITS AWESOME!
Patience guys, be patient. Android 4.0.4 is on its way! :)

Usually I have this on, but does this affect my update? I tried pressing disagree and checked for the update several times but nope, then I hit agree but still no update. What should I do?

Chittu, 09 Apr 2012When did you restart and when did you checked in?I rebooted the phone after I cleared the Data then after the phone restarted I rechecked system updates.

Is it just me, or the 4.0.4 for the Nexus S is buggy as hell?!
Icons are changing, some are disappearing after reboot, when applying Bluetooth pairing it always request permission to contacts list, battery drains frickin quickly, it's glitchy too.
If you noticed, all but I mean ALL applications are open and work in some fashion. I guess that explains the poor battery life.
Damn, is this how a flagship device experience should be?!

1. To force the update on your phone, go to dial pad and press: *#*#2432546#*#* it numeric combination means "checkin"
and then process as described by Denisbilali with one restart.

Listen to me.. if you're coming from 2.3,x OS.. do not apply this update.
The battery drains in few hours time when in use. When idle it loses about 2% an hour without anything in the background.
Yet again a huge disappointment by google

I'm in the UK and have a Nexus S on Orange and still waiting for my update, my grandson had his update nearly a week ago, is there anything I need to do to get it as every time I've checked "system updates" it states my phone is already up to date and still on 2.3.6 ?

Received 4.0.4 today for my Nexus S i9020A At&t.

Have tried it yesterday with no go, but today it worked.
The OS seems to be quite good, although not as fast as the previous 2.3.6 build.
