Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus get updated to Android 4.0.4
Looks like Google heard our little rant (or so we like to believe) regarding the lack of updates on the Nexus devices running Android 4.0. If you may remember, Google released the Android 4.0.3 update to Nexus S back in December but then pulled it due to some reasons, leaving some users with Gingerbread and others with a half-baked update. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Nexus users were stuck on 4.0.2.
Google has now finally started pushing the Android 4.0.4 update to the Nexus S and the Galaxy Nexus. According to Google, the update brings stability improvements, better camera performance, smoother screen rotation, improved phone number recognition and more.
Unfortunately, though, there is a catch and that is only the GSM variants of both the handsets are currently receiving the update. This excludes the Nexus S 4G for Sprint and the Galaxy Nexus for Verizon, who may receive the update at a later date.
