If you want better processor, just buy the K30 pro version. K30 is meant for most people on a budget.

Anonymous, 04 Dec 2019Having honor 20 pro with ips lcd and asus rog 2 with amoled... moreAgain, refresh rate has nothing to do with your eye fatigue. Did you check the PWM signal used by Honor 20 Pro? The issue is with its backlight PWM and not its refresh rate. Backlight and IPS panel have their own independent hardware driver. It doesn't mean that IF you have 60Hz refresh-rate, you'll have 60Hz PWM backlight signal, they don't work that way. Do you get my point? Don't you know that the Honor 20 Pro has one of the worst PWM flicker on its back light? It has 333Hz while Pocophone F1 for example has 2315Hz below 20% brightness. There are actually people that were sensitive to 500Hz flicker, anything lower than that will incur stress to your eyes.

Baykko, 03 Dec 2019How good are 90Hz refresh rate screen? I want to know how w... moreIts amazing. I dont know it will be this good until i use it with my own hand. But this is my advice. Its not worth at all to dump popup camera, clean full display with that amoled just for 90hz display. Yes, 90hz is so good but only if it comes with full and amoled display. Only that will gives the best screen experiences

With my Redmi 5 plus and all previous phones, i can hardly notice any drain from the screen. On 9T I'm forced to use night mode on browsers and everywhere else. Very pathetic and overrated tech.

nik.007, 03 Dec 2019The cost they are cutting by using the cheaper LCD, no pop-... moreDo you know the problem associated with OLEDs at higher refresh rate? Read about the Pixel 4 and how they try to avoid that issue. Using 120Hz IPS panel is a huge upgrade for me why?
1. No color change on all range of of brightness curve because the backlight is totally independent hardware than the IPS panel.
2. Driving AMOLEDs at much higher refresh-rate needs huge investment with regards to its own problems on color change on lower brightness curve.
Having NO POP-UP is a huge upgrade. No pop-up means less complexity, less holes, less dust and humidity intrusion, mechanical components needs lubrication over time whether you use them or not. Non-mechanical front camera doesn't need such maintenance, or even utmost care. They just work.
NO UD FPS is a huuuge plus! They're slow and cumbersome to deal with. Dedicated capative or Ultrasonic FPS is the best.

dz1, 03 Dec 2019It has one thing that makes it much better than yours and t... moreDisplay refresh rate has nothing to do with fatigue. It just dictates how often the display refreshes the content. Eye fatigue is due to the PWM signals used to dim the display which were mostly evident on OLEDs using much lower PWM frequency. Most of Xiaomi's IPS LCD backlight have PWM frequency way higher to cause fatigue at brightness lower than 20%. Read Notebookcheck's reviews of recent Xiaomi phones with IPS panels for your own idea.
An obvious example:
You can have the fastest 1000Hz (hyperbole, ofc) refresh rate panel and would still have fatigue if the PWM LED backlight is below 60Hz.

The only thing I like on these is side FP sensor.
SD 730G is pretty okay to me.

Are you sure pro will have Snapdragon 855+ instead of that random Mediatek? Remove the punch hole and I'll buy it! Or else I wait for k40 instead for sd865

Imagine having static parts of the screen stuck at 10hz to save battery no other brand but sharp can bring that quality

Would it be definite that the K30 pro version will come with the Snapdragon 855+
Or do you think they might go with Mediatek chips like they did with the note 8 and note 8 pro
