The images are fake, there wont be a Nokia Carla. The Symbian system is becoming dated and Nokia will focus more on their Windows phones... If anything Belle will just continue getting patch updates

More Harmattan than Windows Phone design cues. The Squircles and the keyboard are obvious clues.

Smartphone today, is a complete package, its not just the raw h/w power that completes a mobile.
No debate on the N8 pricing, it was good for its time. Only point is , other OEM at the same time frame were able to sell a model similar ( i am not sauing identical) for a less price. which makes N8 looks pricy. A potential buyer alwayz compares the model with competitors, i'd stick up my merc against a similar BMW, Audi before i make a choice to buy ,unless i am pre conceived to buy a merc only.have i made sense?
you must be spell bound by the design, your choice. i repsect that.
I dint knew the 8 sec concept, i just knew from other forums that one need to keep holding the power button for sometime. but what i f i got a fault battery? all i can do is take it service centre, but cannot buy a battery of my own, open the flap and replace. which is much simpler.
Navigation software - lets take sygic - for USA 20$ and whole North America 40$, still makes the android phone cheaper. :)
If not, Google Navigation - Free.
Surely, as you said prices would drop on contract, but for PAYG cusotmers?? point to be consider, Nokia at the moment has more PAYG cusotmers in other parts of the world which is not operator driven.
