Another shame thing is Nokia promoting this model to photography lovers - and that's OK! - but this upper mid-range phone prompts to install Adobe Lightroom on the (first) initial Android setup, but it's not even the premium version which it offers and this a bit of a let down. . .To install the regular (free) version of Lightroom like is prompted on 9 PureView, I can do it on any other phone with Google Mobile Services by installing it from Play Store, or on those Huawei models (at least for Mate 30 series and P40 series) without GMS by browsing the web for a modded & free version of the premium one.

Now, let's wait and see what will be the next "flagship" that Nokia will surprise us ;P

PS: I still think Nokia 8 is the best Nokia for photography, but using a specific port of Google Camera, but, yeah! I think that 2017 model is still the best Nokia because it has OIS and others (8 Sirocco, 9 PureView and so on) DON'T

sadaghian, 07 Dec 2019You have to use the camera like an analogue camera, setup e... moreAnd I have also shoot some photos with 9 PureView that time I had it and also with my 3 years old Samsung Galaxy S7 edge (using an excellent and specific Google Camera port for Exynos SoC). Then I've been comparing all those photos taken with both using several devices such as my father's Huawei P20, my home's LG 3D smartTV and my Toshiba laptop. I've noticed all the samples taken with S7 edge's Google Camera were overall better exposed - the darker the environment was, worse quality Nokia's samples had. I really don't know how could be possible my Nokia 9 PureView with that innovative and promising Light's technology to produce such bad low-light quality photos with their poor exposure in darker environments at night, while the "traditional" (single-camera) smartphone S7 edge produced some great samples in the same conditions. And gonna say it one more last time: I've sent my 9 PureView to Nokia, so they could analyze in their labs if it had some malfunction or defect but. . .three weeks later they've said that my device had all its software properly configured and updated and everything was working just fine. However, I've noticed it maintained the bad low-light photo quality and its poor battery life of (just) 3-4 hours of SoT with its 3.320 mAh battery, while my 3 years old Exynos S7 edge was still allowing to achieve a 4-5 hours of SoT with its (stock, unchanged) 3.600 mAh battery. So it was not my fault if I had a very bad experience with 9 PureView, unlike all my previous Nokia phones (bar, qwerty and even Lumia models). Concluding, the 9 PureView smartphone has put to an end my loyalty for buying Nokia devices and that's my opinion so everyone here should respect it as I respect their opinions and thoughts, feelings or experiences.

We are all here on GSMArena for the same purpose: LOVE for SMARTPHONES, independent of their hardware, OS or all their stock and custom-compatible software.

I love camera phones, as a kid I had to beg my dad for a Siemens s55 and I couldn't believe the magic of phone photography, it's amazing to have a camera with you all the time, as older photographers say the best camera in the world is the one you have with yourself when you go out. I've not tried the Huawei phones but the camera seems to be amazing

You do not have a LOT of arguments... you have about 3 or 4. Convenience, some AI, post processing capabilities and the ability to easily share are about the only benefits of a camera phone.

Photographers actually want a full of futures phone camera. It is easyer to carry and helps them do photography even when they are not prepared, a good photographer is not one that holds the best camera, is the one that holds a camera at the right moment and know what to do with it. But of course all photographers would love a bit of editing posibilities, so a good camera capabilities is a great bonus. Of course a good DSLR will make the phone picture quality lack substance in most cases, but that does not mean the poor photographer will carry the whole bag everyday anyday with him, just to cach the perfect Moment. So that is where good camera phones come great into play.
