i happy to see Samsung finally have 5000mah . even my note 9 4000mah suffer just at 3pm , 32% .
Samsung really need to tune the battery saving setting .
compare Huawei Mate 20 vs Note 9 :
1. GPS /4G/ always on , Huawei 9mins 1% , Samsung just 4mins 1% lose almost 100% performance .
2 . other usage also very high battery consumption .
3. always my Mate 20 70% -85% even i use it for fb video , youtube video . but my Note 9 only for working watapps , its already 32% at 3pm.

Some other users had suggested a third party app to fix that.

As we all know, Samsung always has the hottest technology around. You'll be literally red-hot when you'll hold it in your hands!
Just in case the new Samsung battery should prove to be too hot to handle, every new Samsung phone will come with a free smoke detector, because where there's a smoking Samsung battery, there's fire.
Finally, to pre-empt all eventualities, the new Samsung phones will come in fire-engine red. A limited special edition will even come with small scale models of a fire-engine.

btw which third party app can let me charge at full speed. will it work without rooting ? cause don't really wanna do anything to my warranty :)

Anonymous, 06 Dec 2019obviously the rating in a battery is the "new" unused value... moreI preordered the S10 5G and Note 10 so they were new when I tested it. The S10 5G have water ingress issue so I got a replacement from Samsung and tested that as well. All 3 phones' actual capacity is 80-85% of rating.
I left the phone off when test charging and the multimeter didn't stop metering until power draw is

You will play a game like pubg for 4 or 5 hours daily and the phone's battery should stand for two days? We know s10+ battery draining at gaming is good enough.. And yes my father is so social sensation.. So he is a better average user..

Happens on some other non Samsung phones too (when you are doing heavy use and charging at the same time).
No problems on my S10 (though it is running a custom ROM).
Just like extreme power saving modes will disable few things when going battery goes below a certain percentage, here charging speed is reduced when you are using the phone at the same time by default.You can tweak those settings to charge at full speed via third party apps. It's not a bug.

I remember reading an article on XDA during the note 4 time ( which if I remember correctly was the first Samsung phone with 15 watts fast charging, I might be wrong) in which they did state that Samsung phones only fast charge with the display turned off.
