Anonymous, 11 Dec 2019That's so true, Android flagships are garbage in less than ... moreHaha, after 3 years iPhones are also garbage with low battery life, with to slow in every day use.. Thats a normal. Do you think iPhone 11 series is made just for fun? People buys new phones every year, is not car that you can use same stuff for that long. And about those updates (that slow down iPhones), tako for example Xiaomi, chinese oem, they had back in the time phone for (bran new) 120$, in 2016, 120$.. And that phone, today works on the latest custom rom from that OEM, how about that. But, who use 3 years same phone and why, when there is every year new ones, better faster, with bettrr battery life etc.. Updstes ha ha..

My point was if you prefer a different brand and/or Android in general you're not missing much.
                  As to what you wrote.
                  First, thanks for the reply.
You mentioned slowdown, perhaps intentional. It's interesting, I haven't been able to update bec I wanted a Tmobile CSC and my phone hasn't slowed down that I've noticed.
As for the features you'd like, aren't they all available third party except the last?

Updates on my s8+ have made it significantly slower, and this combined with two years of updates feels like pressure from samsung to upgrade
So ill be missing the screen recorder, new gestures, digital wellbeing, more consistent dark mode all introduced in one ui 2.0. Not groundbreaking features but simple things like the buggy quick action hud is still present on my phone which will be fixed

Also security updates are nice as a piece of mind

I'm not sure where this idea that without being on the latest OS your phone is obsolete comes from.
I'm using a Note FE which is on Android 8.0 with April '18 Security Patch.
I love the Note 7/FE form factor and spen so have nothing to upgrade to. Nor do I feel any need for an OS update. In Android the vast majority of the software is in the apps: Microsoft Launcher, Samsung Good Lock and it's related apps, Google Search, Next SMS, Firefox, Gboard and on & on - all being updated regularly. So what am I missing?

No reason to keep phones so longer unless you want weak old phone. Three years is enough. Buy new phone o my god.

can ios 13 phones use this patch to manually downgrade to ios 12.4.4??

iOS is just not safe. Android is way safer and that's why OEMs don't need to update Android after release nor even ship with latest version.

This is why Apple have a loyal following that keeps their devices longer and buys their services. Great Ecosystem and Great Support.
