Dagon96, 11 Dec 2019My samsung j5 received a patch just last month and also it ... more1.5 or 2 years makes no difference when Apple is offering 6 years. Google itself is refusing to update their perfectly capable flagships. The Operating System "of the people" takes advantage of its users more than the "overpriced" operating system.

Dagon96, 11 Dec 2019My samsung j5 received a patch just last month and also it ... moreAlways read to understand. The article reads "In comparison, most Android OEMs have an 18 month update policy", most Android OEM's doesn't mean all Android OEMs.

iPhone 6S is already on iOS 13. GSMArena people, please check before posting.

My samsung j5 received a patch just last month and also it received android 9 :)
And it was released in april 2017 with android 7.1
So it is not a rull to get updates only for 18 months.

And it is still prety good, my only problem is the battery and the low memory :)

So please do not generalize the things with updates and with lag and other things about android devices getting slower in time.
