Pixel has worse battery, no expandable storage option, no 3.5mm jack and better display but costs less. So you are buying a $hitty phone while paying more just because the camera is slightly better at night. Ho ho ho... What a reasoning.

Battery life should be the most important aspect in a phone dude. Without much of a battery life, you're not using your phone much throughout the day.

$800 phone with pathetic battery. Instead of "Google doesn't care for hardware", we can say "Google doesn't care for the customers". When every phone on planet wants to improve battery life, google doesn't care.
What are all the features for, if the phone doesn't last that long.

Great article, but do not completely agree. If you think of 2019, then yes, with the launch of Pixel 4, Google didn’t make a drastic move, with the design and other supplementary features. But, one thing that attracts Google customers is the “stock android” experience. Remember, all Samsung are getting the Android 10 update almost after a year which i terrible according to me(unless you keep buying Samsung phones).
Battery life in 4 is terrible, but Samsung isn't the best either :). If you compare the night mode, it is way better in Pixel 4 than its competitors. I have seen night mode(vision) photos in iPhone 11, which leaves a lot of noise in it(not mature enough).
Lastly, radar sensing, at-least the demo on the stage impressed the audience, its just wait and watch situation to see what Google has in the store for its customers in 2020.

The N3DS had massively improved components, twice the cores running at 4x the speed, twice the RAM and 5x the VRAM... screen resolution was the same though.

I also think it is up to Android to be a hellova lot more optimized but all we ever see are UI changes and gimmicky features.

I also didn't think about that. As odd and iffy as a proprietary dock would be, it would allow the Switch to achieve that 4K@60fps upscaling and extra cooling pretty well. It would just probably be like a $100 docking station considering docking the regular Switch would actually be beneficial to that but as long as it comes with the Switch Pro, it'd be great!
Cheers on the hopes for a more powerful and efficient Switch!

Samsung and Huawei have the biggest sales year by year, because they CARE about design, user requirements and specs.
The Pixel 3a came forced by the sales flaw of Pixel 3/XL, this was a strategy way needed by Google at that moment.
ALL THE BRANDS are competing now-a-days, this is 2020 and Google waits until October to launch a minimal phone with TOP price and above all that, this is not coming with the latest chipset, came wit Snd 855, not the 855+ and all other fails in the product: battery, no ultra-wide camera, screen brightness, no storage options, uncreative design (like was Homer Simpson the designer), doubtful video quality, etc.

Google also used bad hardware for the second camera of the Pixel 4. The lens lacks contrast and suffers from chromatic aberration. But even worse might be the machine learning white balance and the removal of white balance presets.

Atleast they should have kept 128GB base model for that price tags on models released in 2019. 256GB is must these days where card slot isn't there. Thank god, One Plus has moved from 64GB model long ago. Next year 512GB should be standard.

Coverage is not blanket yet anywhere where it launched. Battery needs to break 5000Mah barrier. Even 6000 barrier. Or new technology should come up. Samsung and Chinese companies should start developing new research on batteries.

Even at 400 dollars price tags Pixel 3A XL was great value for money due to extraordinary battery life. Unfortunately in India, it was launched at higher price tags. So it was lost into Asus Zenfone 6Z/Redmi K20 Pro/One Plus 7/One Plus 7T/Asus ROG 2/Nubia Red Magic 3/Black Shark 2. These were launched at unbeatable price tags. And now Realme X2 Pro.

Got a Pixel 3A since 2 weeks after launch. All friends want to use it's camera (most of them iPhone people). It's a wonderful phone. Narrow and long screen fits good latest Netflix content. And it's dual SIM. No problem so far. Best phone I have put my hands on

The thing is Google just create a platform device to show off the latest OS. They dont compete with Samsung LG or Sony. They dont need to. Google Stadia lol. Try coming to north wales. Lag central. Stick to disc based consoles.

Yeah, photos tends to have little cold colours, but you can edit it easily after making a photo. The second thing is noise in dark areas, when photos needs extreme dynamic range (for example sunny day and you make photo in a dark room).
But besides that it's completely fine for 399$.
