Google was a total loser in 2019. They should stop making hardware. They just don't have it in them.

Pixel 4 series are certainly the loosers of the year. I was waiting this phone more than any other and didn't expect to get such a piece of crap, sorry. Being a fan of Google phones since Nexus 6P, I can't see myself buying it even for half price.

"As long as you have a good internet connection..."

No thanks, give me offline game and physical CD all the time.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 2020Hands down pixel 4 series is unanimously the Worst Flagship... moreAll other manufacturers (both Apple and Android), does produce better phones.

It’s a shame that the Pixel 4 is $100 pricier than an iPhone 11 at launch. Discounts are meant as a disguise that their products aren’t on par.

S10, P30, etc. are also better. I tested the P30’s camera and they’re awesome (also have 25x zoom), what about Google’s Pixel?

What really surprised me were the speakers of the 3a. They have really great sound quality, I even didn't know that such great stereo sound quality is possible with a small phone. I was very surprised. I compared the sound with an iPhone X and the 3a was better.

Pixel 3a's camera is overrated. The white balance is poor compared to a Google Nexus 5x. They even removed the white balance presets although the white balance is bad. The white balance is also extremely inconsistent: HDR+ enhanced and Night Sight use machine learning white balance, which is worse.
For normal photos, HDR+ enhanced delivers sharper photos than HDR+. But HDR+ enhanced has a worse zoom, so then you need to switch to HDR+. It's a total mess. What's even worse is that the preview shows the default white balance even when machine learning white balance is used.
Regarding the software zoom, there are occasionally dead pixels, which are occasionally transformed into white curvy lines. I tried three Pixel 3a, they all had this issue but with different severity.
I also compared the portrait mode. Although all three Pixel 3a had the same camera app version and Android version, the portrait mode wasn't the same. The amount of blur was very different and the accuracy was different, too. I also noticed that the focus of the Pixel 3a phones hasn't been always calibrated correctly, so with one Pixel 3a the "far" setting in Night Sight didn't work.
For most photos I will still use the Nexus 5x because it simply takes better HDR+ daylight photos due to better colors.

Dont know who is running google now, but all this its a fine example how disconnected their are from their users.

They keep launching garbage disguised as innovation.

Your wrong about poor color calibration with high refresh rate screens in general... This is an OLED problem

Ips has a separate backlight and can handle high refresh rates no sweat

Perhaps the Pixel 4a can correct the wrongs of the Pixel 4. Seems like their flagship have become guinea pigs for trial and plenty of error.
