geek-a-contra, 24 Dec 2019it's not only about ram, is mostly about the processor. for... moredefinitely a different world.
from your comment i thought you already had the processor pat and the ram was the issue.
either way, point still remains valid - custom builds are still far better value for money than this.
still its your money and your choice.
this is only for people who can't spare the time for custom builds but have enough money to not care.

Adul Al Salami Kebab, 18 Dec 2019No Ryzen? But Intel is insecure! ;-; OFC, Apple is bound by contract with Intel, just like how they're bound with Nvidia before.

Lol, a Desktop got 9 score. Is that a news?

hmm, 18 Dec 2019What is premium hardware ? Have apple sticker on a product ... morePremium, in terms of graphic card that's meant for heavy compute workloads and you can't even buy it off the shelf, ECC RAM, SSD drives with reliability beyond what you can buy for consumer system etc. Premium as in meant for making money at absolute reliability where cost is usually the last thing you care about. Not as in having a certain branding.

Only stability issue is the Filter between screen and the seat. I have owned home PC since 286 and from P4 i have build all my home PC's and never i have any stability issues or any issues. I dont even format C: my PC if i have a problem that most likely i have caused.

Have apple sticker on a product makes it somehow a premium hardware ? You can get high end top of the line every part in a PC build that tops the Mac Pro in everything for 1/3 of the price. And why isnt top of the line high end hardware premium if they dont have apple sticker on them ? It's like Apple hand build everything, even SSD drives they somehow hand build it as it's more premium

I call this iFixit rating BS ... the T2 will kill any upgrade/repair paths.

9/10 for easy access, NOT repairability!!!

So the number of core is not really the matter here.
It's true that a workstation will be at least 3 times more expensive than a personal computer, even with Windows and a lot of daily crashes for my CAD work xD

it is a tool for professionals. do you know what means to run a fea and get a system failure message after +48h (at 100eur/h charge...) running time? or get an erroneous final result, because some stupid memory ram switched a few bits here and there, for a 100k euros product?....

But Intel is insecure! ;-; insecure... like emotionally? or physically? because, anything that's been around long enough, or has most people using it around the world.. it would capture the attention of hackers and as no system is perfect, hackers would find vulnerabilities on it. how long has Ryzen been out? ahaha TBH, Im sure once the architecture has existed long enough, they would be finding exploits and security holes on it too. and this happens to anything, the originally, 'unhackable' PS3 now has an exploit and thus proves my point
