AnonD-29613, 09 Apr 2012I'm pretty sure all flavors of Android do this by default.I upgraded last night... had this issue twice today. May flash back to prev ROM if there is no quick update.

I didn't have this problem at all. still testing my batery performance over a day. but here's one for you guys to chew on:

Android 4.0.4 is known to choose a 3g connection over a 2g connection in many situations... even when the 2g is far better. Try switching to 2g when your'e doing nothing when your phone... It's better for your batery life as well. just go to the settings app and hit [more..] then [mobile networks] concluding in [use only 2G networks] and while you at it make a manual selection of your network operator.

hope this helps for you guys!

ICS is very unstable, and the bugs appear very randomly where some users have no problems at all while other users that have done exactly the same and installed exactly the same, or no apps and games at all, have many or even all bugs! This randomness is a big problem because Google now can simply ignore the problems because not all users have these bugs!"

That's Android for you. Try some custom ROMs. Random bugs are everywhere. I prefer iOS and Windows Phone.

Luckily Samsung are so slow in Norway that we haven't even gotten 4.0.4 (or 4.0.3) yet and are stuck with a battery-devouring 4.0.2 :)
