Redmi 9 to launch in early 2020 with MediaTek Helio G70 chipset

This SoC hasn't been made official yet, but it's likely to be a lower-end version of the G90.

If Redmi 9 will have a 6.6 inch display I would expect Redmi Note 9 to go very close to 7 inch. Am I the only one who thinks this display size race is going way to far and wishes for a decent compact phone?
