OnePlus 7t pro? Lol the ROG 2 destroyed everything in that price segment.
Zenfone 6,Realme x2 pro and Redmi K20 pro should have Also been included if 7t pro is there. Pretty incomplete list

Stupid selection, at least put top 10 and give people more option to choose, not everyone "including me" likes those crappy samsung, Apple, Huawei or 1Plus!

I'm very surprised by few so called expert who are neglecting Note 10+ for the excuse of innovation! My question is for them which other smartphone was innovative more and beat note 10+ with all categories? Yes ROG II is the second device I'll choose or OnePlus 7t pro.. But they don't come with any ip ratings.. iPhone 11pro/pro max? Come on! The phone is absolutely joke at that price tag.. I literally buy two Rog II or OP 7t at that price.. Even note 10+ offers more at a lower price.. Huawei mate 30 pro doesn't have Stereo speakers in the regular model or wifi 6.. Xperia 1 is a perfect device but it doesn't have the advance dynamic amoled/amoled display or HDR 10+ display and better battery life.. Although it has HDR BT.2020(HDR 10 standard).. So looking at all the Note 10+ is the champion of this year in premium smartphone segment..
That's why GSM buyer's guides experts have chosen Note 10+ for the first position.. And they're not noob at these..

If I'm being honest with myself, I'd take the N10+ over the S10+ despite it's compromises, simply because I got addicted to the S-Pen on my Note9 and that the gyroscopic S-Pen on my Tab S6 is actually much more convenient than I would have thought. Also I prefer the square design. I really don't like the removal of the headphone jack however so I'm keeping my Note9 within reach.
No vote for OneHypocrit. Plus problems with the 90Hz panels used this year are relatively widespread since they use old gen Samsung AMOLEDs which Sammy itself avoided to use newer, allegedly fixed 120Hz panels next year.
Apple really stepped up their game this year though, got to hand it to them.

Samsung hasn't been innovating much with its Note series because it is already so good, even though I don't think I'll be able to forgive the removal of the headphone jack anytime soon. The only way I could ever forgive any company for removing the headphone jack is if they include quality Bluetooth earphones in the phone box.
With the direction that Xiaomi is taking these days I doubt they'll ever be able to produce a better value for money phone than the Pocophone F1,that phone's value for money was just too good to be true.

Samsung didn't innovate this year at all. It didn't offer anything different from last three years. After fireball(Note 7) incident, Note 8 and Note 9 were good, Note 10+ was good value for money. No innovation at all apart from cleaning software(still it's nowhere near to stock Android or One Plus, but they are refining in best possible way) and 45Watt charging. Apart from that it's absolutely nothing. Apple has stepped up their game in every sense in last two to three years. Apart from hefty prices and that ugly notch, everything else is perfect in my opinion. Battery life improvements are surprisingly good along with performance. Don't know what Samsung/Apple bring next year.
Eagerly waiting though(Want apple to reduce notch size by a lot).
I would still pick Realme X2 Pro/Redmi K20 Pro/One Plus 7T/ZTE Axon 10 Pro/Asus ROG 2 instead of all the flagships mentioned in the above post. I am still not sure about lonegtivity of mechanical part of Redmi K20 Pro, but it will last for a long time considering its build this year. They just lost aggressive price tag from Xiaomi point of view. Poco last year set up high criteria for users. But Xiaomi didn't perform well this year in my honest opinion.
Huawei were fantastic too but that ban halted their progress a lot. Otherwise loved the P30 Pro as well. But Huawei needs to calm down. They are charging too high in my opinion. P30 Pro at 500-600 US dollars would have been fantastic. Above that price tag, its simply not good enough to buy. Software is not good too.
