      All devices have a few kinks. That's nothing to the endless dead if bugs that plague iOS updates for weeks or months. Or iOS when they held a 5+ year world lead in app crashes.

The latter OneUI is still laggy because it is bloated and poorly implemented.

        Xiaomi pushes ads in their Redmi lineup and Vivo mimicks ios for their Funtouch OS. Not defending Apple of course, a few features also copies OneUI, but they are well implemented and not that buggy in the later versions.

Xiaomi pushes ads in their Redmi lineup which is an embarassment. Vivo copies ios with their Funtouch OS, only Oppo, Realme, and OnePlus (BBK Group) stands out. You don't have to buy iPhone 11 Pro and you stand out, thanks Apple.

Of course, aside from the repairability, actually Apple is not necessarily greedy in comparison to other OEMs, especially Samsung. Samsung tries to innovate as much as they could to push users to upgrade on a regular basis, the latter their products are littered with issues (S10/Note 10 fingerprint issue, for example). Their software is not futureproofed and buggy, heck my S10e is slow asf and switching to the iPhone 11 is a huge difference aside from the decent display and no wireless reverse charging. The iPhone is better if I have to admit. Chinese OEMs try to push with their so called 'innovation', ex. Redmi K30 trying to put 120Hz display which is actually a downgrade from the K20, Oppo trying to implement 50W wireless charging (which is impossible) and their Reno 3 which may be a stepdown. I agree that Apple must innovate as well and not try to catch up. Again, there are certain factors Apple is greedy and not greedy.

            Speaking of which steer clear of certain devices like the iPhone 11 Pro series, top configuration iPad Pros, and the brittle iPod Touch.

              no matter what, apple products are simply overpriced. i don't doubt the support/updates as our old ipad mini from 2014 still had an update, but then it had been throttled down because of "old battery". i wouldn't say the company deserves the high profit margin because their devices are durable, and i won't explain this any further than the iphone 6 bendgate. neither does it have to do with their ecosystem, because other can do this business of continuity as well without charging you extra on all devices within the ecosystem. just the same, it is not with technology because apple really has been lagging behind (the bionic processors are overrated as well as it is being used on "highly optimized" operating system). really, to sum it all up, apple is overpricing its products and their marketing strategies plays up very well in the development of their devices and services. i admit i hate apple (although i love their ipads as i have just upgraded from ipad pro 10.5 2017 to ipad pro 12 2018), but those who use their products simply cannot deny that they overprice.

The update situation of android now is so supportive and getting better and better. But what I've said the most of the users of android except apple fans don't care for major updates that much. Because those are already full of almost all essential features.. Yes I said essential, what is enough for avarage consumers. Not those extra features for genius ie. custom rom users or programmes (not Apple users obviously :pp) you've mentioned, like battery hunger (still can stand more than iPhones), incomplete (for who are not able to use or don't know how to use) bla bla..

                                    But one thing you surely don't know that the canned Iris scanner is still the best biometric security system yet on a smartphone (not those special android security devices ie. Lamborghini or Israel made phone),, cause it's almost impossible to copy your eyes inside..

                                      Apple do get that much amount of profit because they sell a device for $800 whose actual price without profit is near $350. So almost 125% money is taken from dumb customers just for profit.
