it is confirmed by nokia themselves that it will not be running on symbian OS, but their series 40 instead. evidence can be found through the hardware keys, as their similar to the layout of the one on c2-03 etc.

i saw a video in a certain website that nokia will be cooperating with android and there are some handsets from nokia running android OS

Anonymous, 07 Apr 2012This is not an S40 phone. This is the super low end WP7 ... morewhy do you come to comment without knowing enething??? WP's minimum requirments are which lumina 710,800 have. Due to small amount of RAM lumina 610 is unable to play some apps or games. So,this would not be a wp phone as per your given specification. Now,mostly we know this would be a phone running of meltemi os which is linux based for low-end phones to replace s40. Now,watch and see.

This is definitely going to be a S40 device, the design follows that of the X2 and Asha 303. the menu button is a nice development if true, the S40 is in dire need of multitasking even if limited like iOS and WP7

Well, I guess this is based on the new smart OS Nokia had acquired. I do hope so actually.
Well, if they make a 3" smartphone, with a higher 400x240 resolution, I would happily buy it(please capacitive screen too!) with WiFi, and all, basic apps should be there and it will be enough for a 99$ phone.
