23 December 2019
A new patent reveals what might be the Xperia 6.

Holy crap there's a ton of comments on the comment section, just like any other Sony related articles lmao.
Why is LetsGoDigital assuming that it will come with a centred hole punch display though? It might feature one on the left/right corner or even a pop-up camera.

Anonymous, 23 Dec 2019Youre the ill informed. Sony only just started finally even... moreNope. You don't use current Sony phones so you don't know anything about them. Reading reviews will only get you half of the story. I'm not gonna go back and forth with you but unless you've used Sony with OLED there is no way to know that XZ3, X1 and X5 don't exhibit PWM/flickering at low brightness unlike Samsung S9/S10 and Apple X/XS. Both of these require you to turn brightness higher in order to avoid PWM.

To those who suggest camera pop up:
When Sony made a camera pop up, then IP65/68 will be disappeared. You made underwater photographers go switch to water-resistant phones. It's not always a good solution for underwater.

Anonymous, 24 Dec 2019Xperia 1 is a better competitor to S/note and Huawei P/M se... moreHow it's not up to the mark? Their only difference is lack of DRAM on Xperia 5 (which means no 1080p@960fps slow-mo) and no anti-distortion electronic shutter feature.

The rest of the hardware is the same.

Fearghast, 24 Dec 2019Eye autofocus does not even work for video in-doors ... you... moreI have checked Xperia 5 user guide, checked my device myself and found that eye autofocus is available only for the main camera while shooting photos.
For videos, selfies and wide angle it is not available.

If you don't have a possibility to make live comparison between different devices, then go and check GSMarena photo/video comparison and you will see, that new Xperias are on the same level with other flagships. In some areas better, in some areas worse.

Plus I wasn't lazy and checked Xperia 5 XDA section on their forums.
First of all there are too few replies. Less than 50 in all topics.
Secondly FPS issues you are talking about were reported only by one guy, who also added that the same Google movie service works totally fine on this Xperia 1 (he has both phones). There are many you say?

So I can conclude from all this that you either don't have the device and simply trolling, or you are completely clueless of how your smartphone works.

Replacing front camera with pop up is a bad idea to make your phone damaged by water inside, you just made people that rely on water-resistant scared, when it comes to underwater screenshot

Mr heatp1pe, you often said you hate punchhol... moreNope, it doesn't change my mind, I won't choose the phone with a punch hole, a minimal bezel is fine, I prefer a tiny bezel that I can pinch/grip on it rather than the bezel-less. I don't like always grip the side frame it is slim/narrow to grip. A tiny bezel still can have proper grip and proper display unlike those hole and notch occupy/share the notification areas, it just like a bite of an Apple.

Only with 4000 mAh battery and without 21:9 ratio.

I don't know whether this is true or not but I found few mistakes in the photo (original patent photo) ,
                                        1. Date of the phone says 25th February, Monday but actually 25th February is Tuesday.
                                        2. Some of the apps have a different icons like camera and music.
                                        3. For multitasking window they have chosen the email app but recently Sony have discontinue the email app specially for the new phones.
