Huawei aims to have Google apps alternatives ready by end of year, new Honor phone will come with GMS

    Well, YVLR is based on the same with further modification to remove unnecessary services and analytics. So by your logic, YT Vanced is also malware.

    apkmirror has free apps (just like playstore) pretty reliable apk
    a2zapk has all paid and modded apps.
    Plenty of others that I didn't even bother to mention coz every app you'll ever need is covered by them.

      Never used playstore to get my apps.
      Plenty of other reliable sources.
      Never had a malware problem nor a security issue.
      Play services (on certain devices) on board, frozen and behind a firewall (not allowed to connect the Internet)

      But I guarantee you that people running play services and playstore with all permession given to them along with all these apps connected to Internet, you are less secure as far as your data goes.

          I like to supprt Huawei with their struggle but I find their business practice of not allowing bootloader unlocking a bit stupid. It's for this reason that I have little sympathy for their predicaments. The Mate 20 Pro will be my last device from them.

                Why these people so pessimistic about this. Competition is good, it brings benefits to costumer and HUAWEI got chance, they succeed taking bbk and several Japan/Korean phone maker to new HMS consortium. It means HMS might able to dominate Atleast non NATO ASIA, and maybe part Africa and Europe. Lots of them kinda dislike GOOGLE /UNCLE, and Turkey was banned altogether lmao

                  Every manufacturer needs to do this because Americans with their own products had problems with Samsung but Samsung made tizen so good that naw Google pay them every day not to introduce Tizen to the market,.
                  Xiaomi had a problem with America ,its ok make a better ecosystem then apple and android combine.
                  Let them suffer for their mistakes to take out other manufacturer when they want .

But when you put your business on the part of being dictated to the business won't move well and you have to get the alternatives and move on. Huawei is on the part to a business excellent without depending on others too much. New maps or mails and others apps won't come overnight but gradually
