Thinking about it. Its clever marketing. Everyone is talking about the P40 series. So they achieved there goal.

Graphene battery is already a reality. The only thing holding it back is the failure rate in the production of the battery. Once they figure out a way to reduce failure rate or has already done so, then it is all system go.

Fake fake fake. It will be ridiculously expensive. Nice mock up. Had me fooled for a couple of nano seconds. I agree with other post Samsung make pants batteries. But then Apple and makers arent any better.

I'd much rather believe that Huawei does a graphene battery, than Samsung.
Huawei actually does innovations, like the first 5x optical zoom in the P30 Pro.
Samsung was *never* any good with batteries, just remember the exploding Note 7 batteries, where uncounted phones went up in flames.
Besides, Samsung has stopped innovating long ago, so it would be very surprising to see them bring new technology.

Engineer, 25 Dec 2019If only come from motorola mobility as king of innovation I... moreThe folding smartphone is proof of humanity's stupidity. Why the hell would you want a phone to fold? There's no practical reason for this. Instead of focusing on sustainability and maintainability, consumers care about gimmicks and tricks.
While we are in the midst of a 6th mass extinction, humanity cannot be bothered by anything but its perceived comfort.
This species has stayed too long here...

                  Ohhh I love all sceptics.
                  1. Iphone retina display...yet everyone is buying 2k phones
                  2. Tesla couldn't produce sustainable electric car, nor he could go into space... just a guy right?!
There are thousands of examples from history of technology how sceptics are wrong sometimes...
Huaweis own silicone is as quick as snapdragon, but this is impossible since samsungs exynos is rather underperforming, right?
Also it doesn't matter if it's fan or artist rendering since all devices following one design trend.
Maybe this tweet was a glimpse into the product future or maybe like with EVERYTHING ELSE Huawei figured out the way to ACTUALLY deliver... unlike apple untill their last device.
Now and by far Huawei is the most exciting company to watch in smartphone technology.

NotAnOpinion, 24 Dec 2019Answer - sadly, as Huawei has said about using DSLR's image... moreNot answering my question, unfortunately. The one for P9 was different because they thought they would get away with using DSLR and didn't expect anyone to discover their rather misleading advertising.
As for P30 series' "zoom" ads... those photos clearly didn't look like they were taken by a phone, and when ASUS used very similar adverts literally nobody cared about it. So I still have no idea how people considered that as a huge problem.

ONLY 5K mah?? That's nothing. I got used to replaceable, externally chargeable 10-12k mah batteries and 5k seems like nothing to me.
Why oh why do smartphone producers try to do all kinds of tricks to increase battery life but increase battery size????
It's like car engines getting more and more efficient, powerful and turbocharged but cars getting heavier with mechanical bloatware so in the end you get 70 horsepower more in a new car but the driving experience is the same as in a 30 years older car if not worse...
Come on, manufacturers, bring out the replaceable big batteries, everyone wants it.

Anonymous, 24 Dec 2019That is excuse for false claimsThat's why they took it down as soon as they realised it was just a rumour and the tweeting about it was a mistake, and then immediately confirmed that the graphene battery won't come to P40. They definitely could've managed their PR team better and prevented such an accident from happening in the first place, though.
