And aside from that, the cameras and the processors are no-brainer wins for the Mi A3 and RN8.
Also the ads can be easily and completely disabled if you change the region in settings.

But all of this aside, I think that M20 won because of the availablity, not the specs.

      Best phone is the phone you want you love and you enjoy. I think Snapdragon 7 series are more than enough unless you are heavy gamer or you want to show off. But don't buy very cheap and very weak phones.

        Sure, it's the least preferred phone by the many, but there must've been times for the users of this phone that they felt that this phone is really good at some things. :))

That's why I don't truly think there's something to call as "best phone of the year" because not everyone were truly able to use all of the amazing phones in this year, and the winner will definitely be the one with the most fanboys, which makes this poll even less meaningful overall.
              Everyone deserves the top spot for making an effort into getting the smartphone industry to go further to the future and make us consumers happy. :))

                  Anonymous, 29 Dec 2019Mi note 10's camera destroys pixel 2Pixel's camera is overrated by tech "journalists" who have zero idea about colour theory and are too blind to notice blind image. Don't even get me started on their ignorance about the underlying hardware.

                  Where Pixels shine is that they have good auto mode. That's about it. The actual hardware is mediocre and the final picture is post-processed to all hell. Not only that, until Pixel 4 the camera in Pixels wasn't very versatile when competitors already had numerous lenses so you could capture pictures in wider aspect ratio, optical zoom etc.

                  When it comes to tap and shoot iPhone 11 Pro is much better than the Pixel 4 anyway and you have more versatile setup. If you want to tweak the final picture just get a Mate 30 or Mi Note 10 and you'll get much better quality. If you want to capture raws just get an actual camera. Pixel phones are a joke and always have been maybe apart from Pixel 2 XL.

You should put it in budget flagship on first place ;) and as midrange phone should be first xiaomi Mi9T (redmi K20) then redmi note 8 pro (bcs not supported mediatek and ips display) and then Mi9 lite (CC9) and xiaomi mi note 10 (best photo camera midrange phone)

                                1st place: Hauwei Mate 30 Pro 5G - 123 points

                                2nd place: Hauwei Mate 30 Pro & Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro Premium - 121 points

                                3rd place: iPhone 11 pro max & Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ 5G & 4G versions - 117 points

                                4th place: Hauwei P30 Pro/Oppo Reno 10x zoom/Samsung S10 5G - 116 points

                                5th place: Oneplus 7 Pro - 114 points.

                                Then basically xiaomi, Honor, Hauwei, Samsung, and the Pixel etc...

                                Clearly iphone 11 pro max has very good cameras. But again... Not exactly the best. But as good as other flagships. And in some cases less than other flagships.

                                        The camera on Oppo reno Ace is almost on par with iPhone 11 Pro Max. And in a few cases... better. Check out some of the very surprising YouTube comparisons.

                                        Infact all those phones cameras are either on par with iPhone 11 or slightly less. Or better.

                                        Apple would have you think there camera is the best... But not quite. Factually.
