in general it's the phone manufacturer's fault. for this article it's Nokia's.

Not Microsoft. Microsoft only provided the OS which can be modified by the Phone manufacturer to match their hardware. Considering NOT only ONE factor... the data connectivity issue would be caused by faulty handset or a glitch on the internet profile settings provided by the manufacturers to the carriers. again, considering NOT ONLY ONE FACTOR, for internet profile settings, it is the manufacturers responsibility to modify the OS to work perfectly fine w/ the hardware and the network.

again. in gerneral...it's the handset Manufacturer's fault(Samsung, HTC, LG,iPhone, Nokia etc). for this article it's nokia....otherwise...nokia won't be rectifying this w/ a $100 rebate or whatever.

Let me educate you how th... morewell, there are people claiming that other brands with windows phone OS is facing the same issue as with nokia.... We cannot just judge or blame, whatever you call it, one factor at a time. If other brands is facing the same problem, then why blame nokia for such matter? Nokia has nothing to do with HTC titan, right? But if you can just see, lumias and titans use same OS.... And with your explanation, i disagree that nokia has something to do with the settings of the phone, specially the software.... It is Windows Phone, and who is behind that? MICROSOFT.... Nokia didn't develop the entire OS, they just made some small alteration, just to make the software work with their hardware and to add their own apps like Nokia Maps and others, but i don't think they are going to alter the configuration for the ISP.... and so HTC did it the same, and other brands.... Just take a look at different brands with the same OS, they all have same configuration settings for the OS work properly....

at least nokia have admitted there is a problem. and they are doing something about it. unlike apple, if you hold the handset the wrong way. you get no signal sound familiar. then give you a cheap surround to fix the problem, which is obviously a hardware issue from day one.

i am very happy with nokia. and will continue to be. well done nokia keep up the good work.

What has not been reported is that Nokia will replace your phone for free right away OR you will get an update on Monday.

Also, all those who have bought the phone or will buy the phone before 21st April will get a 100$ credit in their AT&T bill.

"Finnish based Nokia admitted that a memory
management issue with the software on the
phone was preventing some users from connecting to
the internet. The difficulties have nothing to do with
hardware of the device or AT&T's network.
The good news is that Nokia has quickly responded
with a software fix which will be ready on April 16th.
The manufacturer is allowing those who bought the
flagship Windows Phone model to either download the
new software or swap their flawed model for a new
one. Nokia U.S. Chief Chris Weber says that the
company is already producing new units of the
phone with the new software which he says are
                                    being shipped to AT&T stores.
In addition, all those who bought the phone will
receive a $100 rebate from Nokia regardless of
whether or not their phone is affected. Considering that
the phone is $99.99 with a 2-year contract, that
effectively makes the Nokia Lumia 900 free for those
who purchase the phone before Midnight Pacific Time
on April 21st. Weber noted that the customer always
comes first which he says is why Nokia is offering the
rebate. The executive also added that the company is
investigating how such a problem with the software
made it though testing and went out in units sold to the
                                    public."
