I own a Samsung Galaxy S II and I simply love the way it is. However, I have a feeling that the iPhone 5 is gonna take a heavy toll on the Galaxy S III this year as both of them are bound to be priced similarly.
I just hope it's untrue and the Galaxy S III looks completely different from what the rumors show. I've already played with the HTC One X for a while and have thoroughly enjoyed it.
PS: When it comes to design & build quality, HTC have been the ultimate choice. I just wish the S3 would have some metal on it or I'm gonna buy the HTC or the Apple.
*I HATE PLASTIC ON MY PHONE*

fingers crossed it's not the mock-up (two-tone colour) with button...
hopefully they've embraced the new UI without the button and something unique...
however after all these rumours... I doubt it...
:(
as owner of of a GS2 - amazing phone, terrible handset design...
FINGERS CROSSED!

intresting to se another manufactor keeping the design under a lid... but really I dont care, the problem is not leaks, it is if it takes too long for it to be introduced to the market after those leaks.
And I feel that the Galaxy S III has taken too long time to reach the market, and thats even without seeing any proper leaks of it.
Apple seemed slow with their one model per year, when competitors released more than one top of the line model per year. But now its been a year from the S II release.
Does Apple have the power to slow down technology?

This phone will be called Samsung Death Star as they will do away with the Galaxy name. It will destroy every other phone just like Alderaan lol.

I sold my SGS2, and just bought the ONE X. Just the lock screen with the weather is enough to blow me away with the ONE X. One thing I do not doubt though, is the SGS3 will have more gigabytes and cpu power than any phone on the market for another year. And there is a market of people who want the power, so why not. Hopefully this time its not made out of nasty plastic. And it has the gorgeous amoled screen which is one thing I loved! I think if you want a good smart phone with quad, you need the 5th processor for great stand by and a big battery, pref: 1800+mah, and a nice res this time, 800x480 looked rubbish on that beuatiful amoled screen.
No doubt SGS3 will be very exciting at launch. I think I will go for the iPhone 5 though as I have an amazing droid now, and I like keeping up with both of the giants. The mock of the SGS3 looks sexy as! Stainless steel??!!

I really prefer the design of the phone in the leaked invitation. It's much more innovative than this one. I was hyped about that one but now i feel kind of sad because they will probably just "upgrade" some thing on the S II and brand it as S III instead of innovating

The home button is the one which pulls you out of the app/task straight to the homescreen. There is no way that button should be capacitive. Function is far more important. Ill be picking up the SGS3 :D

SGS3. The handset - which will replace the Samsung Galaxy S2 and the Galaxy Note as the company's flagshipproduct - is expected to run ona quad core processor, possiblyfrom Samsung itself or from Nvidia, up to 2GB RAM, a 4.8-inch fullHD (that's 1920 by 1080 pixels), NFC capabilities, a ceramic package, wireless charging and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Is ok to keep the home button, but please let's Samsung phone can performed group SMS of more than 50 people. I need to conduct group SMS to me staff, at the moment I can only used 3rd party App. some others like Micro SD card features is good. Please look into useful feature than just be a follower. I just get one of the Samsung google phone but I dislike it .I consider as useless phone.
