Also, so many people think that a patent means that they're going to actually do it. It's just an idea.

None of my phones have ever had water damage too. I dont take my phone to shower with me or go to swim with it that i should need water proofing. It's just weird when useless things are way too important for some people and then look down on the people who dont need them.

DroidBoye, 03 Jan 2020Pop-up cameras are the worst implementation of smartphone f... moreYou must be dropping your phones like once a day if these popup cams dont last for you. Do you even have a phone with popup selfie or you just go by some drunk guy behind the alcohol shop said so and now thinks that's the most truth thing ever. Why should popup camera get broken when you never use it ? And why should it get broken when you take care of your technology and not drop them on every day just for fun or something. Last time i dropped a phone it was still buttons phone so it must be something 10 years ago.

Pop-up cameras are the worst implementation of smartphone front cam so far. They break whether you use them on a daily basis or even when you're not using them at all. The only allowable electrical-mechanical implementation on modern smartphone, IMO, were the vibrator and the camera stabilizer (OIS/IBIS).

I'm waiting for Apple to patent one with a popup from the bottom.
Lately, Apple just seems to recycle Android designs by shifting stuff around on the back.
