AnonD-2815, 11 Apr 2012If nokia can put 1 Ghz processor on its lowend dumbphone, ... morethe reason being the OEM who take over WP as there OSes have to pay Microsoft. So if all that facilities came up, then the price will also shoot up. means Microsoft royalty+the price of production=HIGH PRICE. Symbian in that sense is Nokia's own. so they can go about putting all that in there symbian phones. as the production cost would be low and also they don't have to pay any royalty to anyone. every money remains to them.

debigG, 11 Apr 2012This is a promising move from Nokia. The Lumia 610, 710, 80... moreIt seems that way. I only wish MS would release Apollo earlier. They are dragging their feet. It might cost them too much in the end.

This is a promising move from Nokia. The Lumia 610, 710, 800 & 900 are ice-breakers into the WP7 market. When Apollo arrives, then the real competition between WP8, Android & IOS will begin. The other manufactures Samsung, HTC, Sony,Huawei and the others will rethink they efforts and strategy in the mobile market.
NOKIA carefully analyze its niche and target them based on their demand and innovate accordingly. The troops are being assembled, the battle is imminent and NOKIA will remain EMINENT!

AnonD-2815, 11 Apr 2012If nokia can put 1 Ghz processor on its lowend dumbphone, ... moreTo maintain the cost. S40 phones might cost less for many reason and one of them is the OS. Than I believe there might be other accessories inside the device such as GPU maybe.

If nokia can put 1 Ghz processor on its lowend dumbphone, then why it's restricting its low end windows phone to just 800 Mhz processor.. I cant understand logic behind this. Is +256MB RAM and +200Mhz clock speed more on same processor costs toooo much...??!
