I can't use them for audio calls in teh street and is sometimes get asked if I'm on speaker when i talk from my house. Audio quality is good and sound isolation is decent. Sadly on my pair the wireless charging stopped working after 3 month.
They are decent buds but considering teh shortcomings they are too expensive.

Have you guys used galaxy buds? You can somehow no longer hear anything if you use it. It even has ambient sound mode so you can hear outside noise. You guys are just picky no tech site can explain the sound experience from using this. I have both airpods and galaxy buds and clearly the buds are the clear winner for price and sound quality.

Magicdave99, 07 Jan 2020More battery life will never be pointless How can it be po... moreCos take airpods for example. They can be used for 5 hours on a single charge and can be recharged 5 times using the case. 15 minutes in the case gives you 3 hours of listening time. And you can charge and use the airpods individually. So after 4.5h you put one of the two airpods in the case for 15 minutes while using the other one and then swap them. Non-stop listening for 25 hours away from a mains socket.

No ANC, better battery life. Well, turn off ANC and you will get hour or two longer battery life. Galaxy Buds+ should be called Galaxy Buds Lite because + means something a little better and Lite means something worse. In this case no ANC means Galaxy Buds+ are not flagship air buds so Galaxy Buds+ is not good name.

They don't really need it. You can barely hear any external noise already, to the point that people have to yell to get your attention.

Thank you for the insights which is something that Quora didn't provide. Sure, I'll get the wireless if it has the best game-able BT codec with lower latency, latest Bluetooth version like 5.1, USB-C, over ear and best of all, sounds just as good as wired headphones; I'll buy something like that once my ATH-M50x of 5 years dies.

Love the Community, 06 Jan 2020I didn't research much but Sony and Bose have it but it's o... moreNope. ANC requires active processing of the audio by the headphones. Therefore the headphones need autonomous power to make ANC, which means battery. And battery means... wireless! Although they are rather offered in a "hybrid" flavour, in that you can still plug a headphone jack into them and power the headphones so that they only sip power for ANC and leave the audio to its full wired glory. WH-1000XM3 is such "hyprid" headphone.
