AnonD-122899, 14 Jan 2020And apparently A1 is totally left out in the cold again....... moreExpecting without knowing what to expect for? Read Android One program, it's 2 Android upgrades + another year of security updates. MiA1 started Nougat and will end up with Pie NOT 10.

sweggitity, 13 Jan 2020What are the bugs? The update deleted all my native audio files, as in Notifications, Alarms, Ringing.
It also removed one of my Biometric dependent banking app.

YUKI93, 13 Jan 2020By default, it IS synonymous to fast-upgrade. Remember, And... moreAnd where did you get that "by default" assumption? IF there exist in Google's Android One policies then Google has already sued lots of these manufacturers failing that said "fast-upgrade" policy. There isn't. Android One only satisfies the guarantee that there SHOULD be upgrades of up to 2 Android OS version from release, not necessarily be "fast". IDK where you get your information about Android One but if ever you get it from a reputable source then why not share your references?

Anonymous, 13 Jan 2020Other cheap MIUI phones from Xiaomi have got Android 10 alr... moreMIUI is their mainline OS. Android One development is just second in their priority. OFC, they will prioritize MIUI, why would you think they wouldn't? Also Android One does not guarantee fast OS version upgrades, only a guaranteed of atleast 2 major upgrades, the timeline always depends on the smartphone manufacturer. Buy a Nokia 9 Pureview if you are too entitled to be prioritized not these Android One phones with hardware based on one of the weakest Mi smartphone.

It's riddled with bugs and still on December 2019 security patch (compiled January 31st). I would consider it as a beta build.

DroidBoye, 13 Jan 2020Since when Android One became synonymous to fast-upgrade? W... moreOther cheap MIUI phones from Xiaomi have got Android 10 already, way before the Mi A2 (Mi A3 update doesn't even have an official ETA). This only reflects laziness, neglect or, perhaps, fear of cannibalizing sales from their beloved MIUI.

Remember, Android One is all about getting the same Pixel experience on non-Google devices. So if the Pixel got updated, I expect all Android One devices to follow soon.

Will Never buy Xiaomi Device again. Will Buy OnePlus on Emi but not Mi device again. After 5 months release of A10 still mi A3 is on A9 pie. And if update comes, it will come with plenty of bugs. What the hell man

Davy Jones, 13 Jan 2020I agree with you but updates also depends upon how many dev... moreThat too. But to be honest. Xiaomi's Android One phones are like "me too, I have that" kind of program just to cater as much people as they can. IF a sane person would know and has made a proper research before buying a phone, they would check at which phone is the counterpart of the Mi A3 aaand... it's CC9e, one of the lowest specced less prioritized unit of Mi branding using MIUI. IF Xiaomi is committed to fast upgrade and Android One development, they'll use their Mi9 as a platform and not the CC9e and OFC, they won't do that.

Niklex, 13 Jan 2020An Android One phone is getting update later that Samsung? ... moreSince when Android One became synonymous to fast-upgrade? With your logic, all Nokia Phones not yet upgraded to Android 10 were a failure. Some of them were even much more expensive than the Mi A2 or even Mi A3.
This is the problem with people buying cheap product and expecting Nokia 9 Pureview level of Android One upgrade priority. lol. Did any of these people complaining read about what Android One is all about?

I've updated my Mi A2 17 hours ago, and since then Wi-Fi refuses to connect..I'm reset all the network settings on my device, restarted phone, manually entered in the details but still no luck. I've since then been on the computer for about an hour searching to see if anyone else has this problem...only to find that my PC can no longer see any files in any folder of my device.. Good thing I backed up all my photos 2 weeks ago... I've been sending the photos I've recently taken to my wife because I can no longer transfer files due to my PC not being able to see any files(I know they are there). I'll be looking into unlocking the boot loader and finding a custom rom to install. Android 10 so far has very effectively semi-bricked my phone.
