Simple. I would actually consider buying this if it's only $399 and it came with the specs of the 11 Pro in a smaller size.

I'm confused. So it's going to have the touch gestures of the X / XS / 11? I thought the 12 will have a "5.4 model? If this 9 has that but priced only $400, then this is the one to get. It's a no-brainer. Why waste more money and wait for the 12?
I'm not a fan of iOS for my smartphone but this is the iPhone to get if you want to get back getting a new iPhone. The 12 model at "5.4 will probably will have the newer SoC and cameras but be priced $1000 like the XS / 11 Pro are. Save the money and have it the smallest for that X-design.

Sure, you can always add more and claim your product is better, but it brings absolutely no value to the customers. If anything, it just results in the things mentioned above: higher costs & higher battery drain.
Do you really think a 4k display would look visibly better on an iPhone XR compared to its current 828p display? Not unless you hold the phone a couple inches to your face. Or look at it with a microscope. Either way, not a real-world, real-use scenario.

It doesn't hurt to put more pixels, if anything it will look better. And as long as stupid people say "it's fine", they will exploit the ignorance. They even sell tablets without laminated displays and that's just awkward for one of the most valuable companies in the world...

uh, not a good thing to go above 5". It will still sell like butter since its apple. I predict it would sell better if 5"...well rich is rich still, right? Well Im not the apple customer, so what do I know ;)

It's the PPI that matters. 326ppi is plenty a resolution. 350ppi and above doesn't matter to the human eye, unless you look at the phone from 5 cm (2 inches) away.
Ever heard anyone complain that the iPhone 4/5/6/7/8 displays look pixelated? They all have 326ppi.

If they're going full-on notch style experience at this upcoming iPhone, I'll be pleased knowing that there's a chance that this will be another hit from Apple Inc. alongside the possible price of somewhere around $289-399.00

I think it will start at 499$. At 100$ cheaper than the XR it makes perfect sense cause it will be considered as the XR compact with just a slightly better chipset. It will sell like hot cakes

Now, that's the phone, I've been kept saying: bezel-less iPhone 8 or slightly larger iPhone. But, would love to see the other leaked features of impending se 2, we received last weeks: bigger battery (dont mind if it is fat somewhere between 8 and X); design customization to adopt 11 style-like back and side. Dimensionally, somewhere between 8 and X.
Wouldn't mind Apple LCD compared to OLED.
Lets fight head to head with Pixel 4a Vs iPhone SE 2 or iPhone 9 (whatever call it) and released in the March.
