EdB, 17 Apr 2012Windows may have a few blips of interest, but it's pretty m... morecouldn't be more agree with you. and where do u stand nokia in nowadays? i went in nokia flagship shop in one of it's retail shop in malacca, Malaysia and notice that the new phone lumia 800 sharp edge was peeled off. dear design team, please re-consider your effort and think about the user experience and environment. things would not last or shape that is hard to take care of will chase away your precious customers! at least, you should chamfered the edge a little bit in order for the things to withstand some pressure on it. look at iphone design or samsung. learn from their ergonomic design and alter to your belief. as for the inner part, your hardware seems not a rival to them at all nor your software portion, to me though.

If anything Nokia would be the one's bribing the carrier's as they got $200 MILLION DOLLARS USD from Microsoft PER YEAR to promote their Lumia series.

I had the the Nokia N8 and was fed up waiting for updates and also tired of the phone which was buggy. Even the scrolling was erratic. So with bad experience I ruled out the Lumia and bought a 4S instead.
Guess what,it works first time and every time!

Nokia has their own OS and uses Windows also. I think that they should use Android also and let the market decide which is the best. If they do this, it will be the first company to offer three OS at same time. Different people have different thinking. Personally, I belive that have market for all OS (in different scales, of course). Many people loves and hates all of OS. Let them make a choice.

I remember arguing with nokia reps that nokia had to start using android and being told andorid will die quickly and maemo was the way forward. Now they dump that for WP7.
Nokia has to use android or it will die in the smartphone market. It will continue to sell basic cheap models but without android, its smartphone share is dead

Windows may have a few blips of interest, but it's pretty much dead on arrival. People want apps. When they pay a lot of money, they want a known. Nokia has gone from Symbian to Maemo to Symbian3 to MeeGo, not to Windows. All over the place.

The Nokia N9 is a good example how bad things are at Nokia,because how many companies produce one of there Best Products an then not let be sold Globally to boost the Sales an Portfolio of the Company,but Mr Elop was so scared that the Nokia N9 would dinting the demand for Windows phones,but Nokia could have used Symbian or Meego to save them like it as Windows as been a Failure,Windows needs to more Open an not to Restricted

incredible! I have a Lumia 800 Cyan, (before an HTC) and I love it, best design (no cheat plastics like Samsung, curved screen, gorgeous colors), Clearblack screen (see Home movie on the Lumia 800 and compare it with 4S, Lumia has a better screen), free super navigation thanks to Nokia Drive, free music thanks to Nokia Music, live tiles (sorry iphone lovers, your tiles are fixed...), MS office with xcel, PP, Word..., Xbox games, no bugs! The only weak point is the number of apps, close to 90 000, but rising very fast... and no need for 30 000 Sudoku apps like on iOS. the Lumia is better and cheaper than the I Phone, the hardware of the Lumia is more than the Iphone and I phone is 150 euros more expensive! it is going to take time but Lumia rocks! if you disagree, try it first!
