Sadly, S20 Ultra won't have 10x optical zoom. It will have 5x optical zoom. It was leaked before.

I bought the S10e over both the S10 & S10+ because of the smaller size and flat screen, disappointed in Samsung for not doing the same this year with the S20.

Everyone is hyping for the S20 Ultra, but I'm far more interested with the base S20. I still cannot see any relevance with 3D ToF sensor other than fake bokeh and also that dedicated macro camera. Plus, both S20 and S20+'s main camera uses a native 12MP camera with native 1.8 micron pixel, which reminded me to the days of Nokia N8 from 2010 with a native 12MP 1.75 micron pixel camera.

the s20 is taller than already-too-tall s9.
tall phone is useless because most streaming contents and short videos are 16:9.
21:9 is indeed used by many movies but almost no people can withstands watching 1.5 hour long movies on smartphones anyway.
16:9 s7 with large bezels is only 142mm. how come these bezel-less phones grow taller than that

PartTimePhoner, 18 Jan 2020Because the sensor is not 12MPWell, It says so in the Specs doesn't it.
Or else something is not open about the sensor yet.
Maybe a Quad Bayer, in which case it'd be a 48 MP sensor, capable of doing 8K.

I Dont get it, For 8K Video Recording, you need minimum 33 MP Resolution, How can you have 8K in a Phone with 12 MP Sensor.
Something is not right, Either the Entire S20 Family has a bigger sensor than 12 MP or only the S20 Ultra can do 8K.

So sad to see it's gone.
Let us remember that back in the day, there is a freakin 7" tablet and now here we are with 6.9" smartphone.

I live in Europe. Exynos + restricting the 108MP sensor to the €1100 phone, no thanks.
Not to mention that the 120Hz mode will be only available in FHD, the OP8 Pro will be better in everything but camera and cost at least €300 less.
What a joke.

8k video recording, zoom mic, 10x optical zoom, 9to1 pixel binned shots with 2.4 micron pixel size, OIS on both front and back. Massive selfie camera, video pro mode out of the box, latest SD865 with microSD, Ufs 3.0 storage, 120hz WQHD top notch panel, 5k battery, IP68, All looking top notch.
Looks like a nice time to upgrade.

So for gaining 0.7" screen size in the ultra version, you increase height by 15mm, width by 8mm and thickness by 1mm? Hmm. The s20 looks pretty compact for 6.2 inches.

I wanted Snapdragon 865 on the Galaxy s20 or s20 ultra. I am surprised they don't have that.
