But mostly you're right. Even if we accept that a normal PC/ laptop can 'somehow' play 8k video, there is hardly any 8k screen to watch it in full glory. Its just being future safe in my opinion, with not much present value.

      Samsung skipped those no11-19. my interest to re buy this series had been much reduced. next year they could simply scrap this line

            How i wish the make a version of s20 with S20 ultra camera and bigger battery. Make it thicker at 9mm should be fine. Phone getting outrageously humongous this day.

              So what's the bit rate going to be on 8k 30 FPS? will people really use that? Or even have capabilities to play, or worse, edit the footage on PC?

              NOT TALKING ABOUT ENTHUSIASTS with a GTX 2080 Ti running the show.

                  I want to upgrade my Galaxy S9+ but I think I'll skip Galaxy phone this year. (because of the shity Exynos prossesor)

                    Okay so what happened to that 44 MP ultrawide? Shifted to front? With still lower resolution?

                      Exynos 990? Ewww, get that chip out of the phone! Also, no 2nd gen under the display fingerprint scanner makes it a hard sell.

                        8k (non DCI) 7680 x 4320 ==33.1MP approx. So if it has 8k, it needs a sensor that does 33.1MP at 30fps, to get 8k.

                        I an guessing the final camera specs will be known in a few more days.

                          So many complaints despite the hardware being significantly better than last year's offerings. Sony fanboys, you can stop feeling bad for Sony. Every brand gets complained regardless of what they do.
