Why not use the glass for screens and plastic for backs? Heck even return removable back covers or make them faux leather or something else - carbon/kevlar/etc?

Redmi is in category from 100 to 250€ and Poco in category from 250 to 400€. We also have redmi k30 in China which is expensive,but name is different globally,like Redmi k20 ( China ), MI 9t ( globally ).

But... moreOk, we will see, also Galaxy A71, even A51 it looks good, but price for plastic phone is little to high, eight now.. (even Pocophone F1, also plastic phone, was cheaper, back in 2018, with better processor, than 730G.:)
And about that design, to be honest, i don't like K30 (Mi10T), design at all, those two big hole in screen is just not good for me, same goes for S10 series and Huawei Nova 5T, also for Motorola One Action.. Also in K30, IPS screen, also is not better (even with 120hz), than the one on K20 (Mi9T), so botton line, Mi9T (K20 for some markets), is better designed phone, than K30 (Mi10T), also, Galaxy A51, A71, ok, back and frame is made of plastic, but screen is awesome, and that tiny hole in the middle is ok, because, it's small, and in the middle of the screen (like on Note 10/Plus).

And yeah, Poco will be even cheaper than Redmi. If you check out some Redmi devices (such as Note 8, Note 7, etc...) you'll see that they have front/back gorilla glass 5. And they cost around $140!
But Poco is going to be even cheaper to fight against Lenovo and especially Realme. These two offer some good specs at the budget segment. Realme Q costs only $140 but packs a SD712. And that's because it's completely made by plastic.
So I believe that Poco will do the same. They completely skip the fancy stuff (such as design and build quality) and focus only on stuff like chipset, cameras, speakers, etc...
So you can expect them to look disgusting, horrible and ugly. :)))

Also A71 use Qualcomm Snapdragon 730, and phone from Xiaomi with same processor, just no galay hole, or notch is on the market since june last year, with price about 220-250$, Xiaomi Redmi K20 for China and India, and for the rest of the world, Xiaomi Mi 9T.
I hope, Pocophone phones will be even better that Redmi for the asking price.

Front with U shaped notch, and without brand name on botton, looks like Redmi Note 7, just, it seems it's a bigger IPS screen (maybe 6.5")

I really don't have any idea about their plans, but I wish they offer various phones for various price segments. Take it from $150 to $350.
And a lot of people (including me) can deal with the all-plastic body and gorilla glass 3 protection, so instead of those, we could get a better-than-price-segment camera setup or chipset... Just think about having a phone packing a quad-camera setup and SD712 or maybe even SD730 for $150.

Poco F2 Lite would be nice with smaller something 5.8inch screen and SD845.
Just upgrade other specs like camera, battery and screen. Larger battery dont mean that the phone needs to be wider or taller. It can be thicker a bit just to pack bigger battery. At least that way it wont be a tablet phone like the rest of the main stream right now. Pop up selfie cam and AMOLED screen and it be awesome some what compact phone. These just poco f2 and f2 pro can go with the SD855+ and SD865 and then what ever 120hz and 90hz and so on screens. For the F2 Lite if not popup seflie cam then bezels like on Meizu 16 where to set the camera that it wont cut a hole in screen or a notch that is useless cut out to make diagonal bigger with little pit of fake screen

I want poco f2 to be same as poco f1 with upgraded camera, processor and AMOLED display. Everything else can be same. Specially face recognition with infrared camera is must. Hope it won't goes away because of new notch setting
