So you would have 48MP in details, instead of same amount no matter using 12 or 48 like the other.

Yes, 686 seems to be 64/16.

    And isn't imx 686 Sony's 64MP sensor?

      Could it be 192MP sensor? And if it is 48MP sensor it could mean it will have large pixel size or maybe its without Quad bayer

        sensor without bayer is only monochrome. it will be still 4-in-1 pixel binning, meaning 12 MP effective, just with some mentioned upgrades

          so this is a true 48MP sensor without any type of bayer, where images look good without having to do pixelbinning?

            686 is 64MP quadbayer 1/1.7"

              708 is the ultra Wide of P40 Pro.
              The 48MP 1/1.3" that will be used by BBK sisters is another sensor.
