I hate curved edges, notches, round corners, tall-narrow screens. So Meizu 16T is my phone

Hmm, at a glance it looks similar to my Huawei Mate 20 Pro. But we'll see when it arrives!

and buttons usually just work with one action and immediately,
This crap of having to double tap an area to activate first , then look to find the location of the on screen slider and then adjust is just utter rubbish.
sometimes being trendy is just change for the sake of change and not good progress at all.
No buttons, no buy.

All the buttons , only the headphone jack is worn out (that should tell you how much music i listend to on it) and i changed the battery in it once. And if this keeps up I will stick with my phone some more ...

On Mate 30 Pro Huawei should've at least added pressure sensors on the edge of the display if they would go for a completely button-less experience, but they didn't. Having tried Mate 30 Pro in the store, while I liked the fact you don't have to click the specific part of the side frame to to open the volume menu, occasionally the display doesn't register my double tap trigger action and overall it wasn't something I would call super reliable.
I mean think about it, if they think removing buttons is a good idea then why are they bringing them back in P40 series?

impossible that im the only one who thinks this way
if i were to press 10x for the volume rocker buttons in a day for say
a total of 2years n which means 365x10x2=7300x buttons pressed
i dont think the buttons will survive for another 1-2years
in fact was hoping for this thing long before being done
i was hoping that one day there s no physical power at all
which simply means that my phone can last much longer

It's silly to pay more than $300 for flagships.

I don't support the whole copy argument I'm just calling out the bias of huawei.
If they call themselves trendsetters for the note 10+ similar layout to the p30, Samsung has the right to call themselves their sun god.
Anyway enough of this pointless squabble may I know if you are an indigene of Japan?

[deleted post]"huawei fans said it was too ugly"
I mean, when S20's first leaked render came out, everything inside the camera bump was misaligned and it did look absolutely terrible, so it wasn't just Huawei fans criticising its design but literally everyone with decent aesthetic sense. But then the following leaks proved the first one to be inaccurate and the latest design leak (or concept? Idk) now shows that it will actually look more like Mate 20 Pro's square camera + a periscope lens underneath, hence is more or less comparable to what Huawei is bringing with P40 Pro. In most cases if one doesn't like S20's camera design he/she doesn't like P40's as well - at least that's what I'm seeing in the tech community.
"the s20u looks better than the p40 pro or premium"
I disagree, but you're entitled to your own opinion.
