Also worldwide, 8 had better sales than X.
Tons of people prefer old touch ID than notch/face ID.

If it has the finger print scanner and the A13 chip and a 400E or below price point it will be my first iPhone EVER. I don't even care about the screen size, design and camera. The best processor on the market, 5 years worth of updates and not having to use FaceID at that price point are all i need.

This isn't android, android hardware and OS wise is fragmented mess and it's badly optimized, that's why you get results like you described.
This iPhone 9 hardware is perfectly optimized for the iOS, just like every iOS devices.

Anonymous, 22 Jan 2020According to rumours it will have same chip yes.That can't be assumed until we know about other aspects influencing the performance, like the internal memory system, the type of RAM, modens and connectivity components, etc. Just look at how many differences in performance you can get with different phones using the same Snapdragon chip for example.

I'm currently using an iPhone XR so I'm good for now but if this really happens then I would wait for the second generation because I love the fact that Apple provides fast updates and with good pricing, I wouldn't mind going for another iOS phone.
