Do not judge other by the brand logo @ the back of a phone Or just Be a happy iSheep and spend hard earned (I might be wrong here!) money on things that don't really matter at all.

YUKI93, 24 Jan 2020Precisely why I never fall for the Pocophone F1. Really, th... moreThey never advertised "quality", they advertised "Speed" - They delivered what was said. Nothing wrong in doing that. You see others were launching glass phones with mid-entry level SoC but Poco did opposite. I will again repeat my decision of opting for Flagship SoC over premium (read Fragile) build. me dropping poco f1 from 5 feet on solid surface and still getting away with minor scratch on one edge of phone is worth the trade off.

Am I the only one here who thinks the Poco F1 was way overhyped? Sure, it had a really good chipset for the price, but that's pretty much all there was to it, the chipset. All the other specs were mediocre at best, even when compared to other budget phones from for instance Realme and Oppo

Every people in this world turn around looking at this phone and leave positive or negative impression.

DavidRegalJnr, 23 Jan 2020Slap 865 on a device and add the lowest quality features,ma... morePrecisely why I never fall for the Pocophone F1. Really, the spec-for-value appeal IS the only reason why it's so popular, that's all. I can actually feel the quality compromises Xiaomi had done with the F1 when I touch the phone. So when I found out about ASUS Zenfone 5z which was regarded as the Pocophone F1 rival, I sold the Pocophone and get the ASUS. I wish I have done that decision earlier, the build quality on the 5z just beggars belief for the price it offers!

POCO.India is not equivalent to POCO. Above POCO.India there is POCO.Global which is still based in China. The future direction of POCO is ultimately determined by POCO.Global. At this point, POCO.India is the primary operational focus. In the future there could be a POCO.Brazil, POCO.Mexico, etc.

This is exciting for lots of reasons. Indians are not stupid people who will pay for lame phones. I personally know many people who has purchased the F1 and they are quite happy with the purchase so this next version from Poco is gonna be recommended by lots if they work magic as they did on F1.

Slap 865 on a device and add the lowest quality features, materials, gimmicks and copied stuff from Apple and Sammy phones and it'll be a legendary flagship killer in India & China but just another decent crap in the west

All I want is for this successor to have SD865, with IPS panel and no notch or punch-hole selfie camera. If it satisfies those basic criteria then I will purchase one immediately.

Poco was perfect with Xiaomi. Xiaomi is a worldwide brand. If being with Xiaomi would make Poco less popular and less powerful outside India then Poco may have made a wrong move making their devices only available for Indian market.

Ummm... not exactly truly independent, isn't it?

Schwarzenegger, 23 Jan 2020Only Indian market for now? That's a shame.Let's not forget that the original Pocophone F1 was actually meant for the Indian market only. But a lot of people like its performance-to-value appeal, so Xiaomi decided to sell it globally some months later.

If they gonna have a special focus on the chipset, then they should release a budget phone too. Something around $150.
Lenovo is now selling Z6 for 1099 Yuan (~$160) which has SD730.
Also Realme Q offers SD712 which costs 999 Yuan (~$140).
How about Mi/Redmi phones in this price segment? Well, both RN8 and Mi A3 pack a SD665, which is WAY weaker than SD712 and SD730.
                                      Poco should fight with them!

Schwarzenegger, 23 Jan 2020Only Indian market for now? That's a shame. Not surprised tbh, they've been forcing this 'India' theme for a while, and the only region where it actually works well as a marketing tool is, well, India. Other countries, especially the European one, often view India as undeveloped and "unclean" country, where they don't want their electronics to be assembled in.

But yeah it's a shame anyway.
