I can buy it for $500. More than that for a phone is just a throw in the bin.

    I had a Note Fan Edition, which I sold mid last year. Update for OneUI came almost 2 months after the S10 series was released. And, people think outdated iPhones will slow down, that's not true at all. My Note, especially with its obsolette Exynos 8920 SoC, took long to load apps (even social media) and cannot play demanding games smoothly (PUBG Mobile is only playable at smooth graphics high framerate (and then stutters/lags), and device heats up a lot even when set to high performance at HD+ resolution. Meanwhile, a friend using an iPhone 6s says the device is still snappy enough for tasking and decent gaming.

    This simply means that Samsung wants you to update your handset more regularly (and as for several other Androids too). iPhone may be more expensive at the start and has meagre features, but it works better and cheaper in the long run. I have made the switch to an iPhone late last year. No need for iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max. Vanilla 11 will do the job and has 5 years of promised security updates. I'm not going to look at the S20.

          who the hell need that amount of storage to begin with? imo, 128gb is more that enough. its a phone not a laptop or a desktop to think that you would need that amount.

            I don't see a lot of people buying even after the discount as these flagships are to show off only. And those who look for value for money would have already gone for other flagship killer phones. One thing that is holding me back from spending a big amount on android flagships is the OS update is for 2 years only. If only androids phone manufacturers could provide OS updates for only at least 4 years then I would jump in to buy the latest Android flagships.

              L-L London-Lover, 27 Jan 2020It's too bad, when they could sell this phone for $1100 the... moreYeah Samsung slashing $200-$500 off their retail price goes to show the real MINIMUM break even / profit point margin before any retailers can make a buck (which they don't) on the handsets - super greedy samsung as all other phone manufactures trying to slap the price of a run down - fixer upper - spare car on a friking phone - and Apple you're not any better!

                      It's too bad, when they could sell this phone for $1100 then why the starting price was $1600? and now what about the people who paid the big amount? It's not a good way by Samsung.
