HTC 7 PRO had an amazing keyboard and slide-out mechanism. It was really something of good quality that I am going to actually miss. Sad news HTC... really sad.

Why? Txting on touchscreen is so slow. I love qwerty phones. I hope Nokia will make apollo version of e7. All the android qwerty phones are getting old in Norway. I will buy ics or wp8 qwerty right when something like that comes here.

I'm still using my (heavily outdated) HTC Dream/G1, the very first Android phone ever, simply because it has an amazing hardware QWERTY keyboard. I've searched far and wide for quite a long time now, and have not yet come across ANY other phone that would come even close to that. Clearly as far as HTC goes I won't need to search any more - if I'm ever going to find a successor to my aging phone, I'll have to search elsewhere. Very sad.

[deleted post]You do realize that we can all see your ip Mask address at the bottom right? We know you double posted.

On topic, they should've kept making them for the market that still wants keyboards but I guess they weren't profitable enough anymore to HTC.

                  I'm inbetween on this.

i have always hate qwerty keyboards of blackberry and nokia e61,71,72. never like.big touch screen or simple classic keyboard of bar mobiles. blackberry style is waste of space and it was a big mistery its success because nokia e61 was in 2004-2005 the first mobile with this type of keyboard

Its probably more to do with the fact that they launched under specced handsets eg desire Z 800 Mhz processor, Cha Cha, screen was too small and too low res. Both of these handsets lost there focus due to being launched along side more powerful handsets.

                                  Good for them
QWERTY is useless you can't use it in games only texting and can't add other languages only English unless they come for specific region.
If they can make integration with games and label some buttons for games control to be like a gamepad and add simple way to put other languages and comes with other languages stickers will be perfect

I have htc desire z and it is the best fone I have ever used. Its hardware keyboard is the best in the market by far. I was hoping that soon htc will relese new android phone with keybord (htc one Z) but now it seems that these dreams have ended. I guess I will have to get used to typing my txts and email on screen :(

I would have been looking forward to buy the Desire Z's successor, but nevermind, I'll stick with it. Thanks HTC
