All three Samsung Galaxy S20 phones pass through Geekbench with S865 chips, 12GB of RAM

We found both US and Korean models, but the ones bound for Europe - the ones expected to use Exynos - are yet to reach the Geekbench database.

exynos have shown to have a lot of trouble in these models. Over heating... far lower benchmarks.. just stay away from the exynos models. Get the snapdragon models

            It's a shame they use inferior chips world wide to make money. This time more consumers are aware and will avoid those inferior exynos chips.

              And exynos gets way more ROMs.
              And funny thing was the best roms always seemed to be a will developed modified touchwiz ones with a good custom kernal.

                  I want anything works, this is android open source, i want custom rom for the future after no crapsung didn't throw update!, i want playing emulator for the future damon ps2 dolphin and maybe switch is made up later, also the the devs no one care about fucking exynos, thats why always had problem with optomization, compability and support, i said exynos is trash, period!

                  We pay we want all working, want support, and we want a futures proof, custom rom is must after the update is stop! Fuck you samsuck we from SEA got the trash exynos!

                    As QUALCOMM use ARM's design directly, it won't be a problem for Samsung to perform same/better than QUALCOMM CPU while using ARM's design directly. And for GPU part,
                    I hope AMD-Samsung come with something good to destroy adreno. Note that Qualcomm isn't that good. They are miles behind Apple in both CPU and GPU department.

                      Big deal, Samsung OneUi runs better on Exynos since it's optimized better for the home grown chipset than the Snapdragon series.

I believe they are mostly from developing countries, So they aren't aware of old history that QUALCOMM was no match for exynos at power efficiency and CPU performance even 3 years ago. Yes it's true that Exynos is falling behind SD since some years in GPU. But one can't give example through a single game. In that case, I could say Exynos Mali does better than adreno at gfxbench. Amyway the performance gap isn't that much. To achieve this Exynos had to give up its power efficiency lead over Qualcomm by putting more Mali GPU core.
                          I guess Qualcomm is better in some way. So, anyone can say it's better than exynos every way.
                          But I was shocked seeing some people believing that Exynos is worse than Kirin SoC both in GPU and CPU. But the truth is , if you get the GPU perf difference between adreno and exynos, think its value is x. then the perf difference between Exynos and Kirin GPU is 3x. I wonder why Kirin has so low performance using the same GPU as exynos !

                            Samsung always used Exynos SoC in South Korea, not the Qualcomm SoC.
                            S20 isn't out yet, so don't shout much.
                            And what are you so proud of ? With 10,000 people your Qualcomm uses ARM's core design directly. They don't do anything special. That's why they are generations behind Apple SoC.
                            There is one thing you and some other should know.
                            Samsung doesn't sell Exynos SoC in USA because of a contract with Qualcomm in 1993. It's about CDMA. As most carrier in USA use CDMA, As Samsung is unable to use CDMA modem. Then there was a renegotiation(2014 may be) and other bla-blah...
                            I guess Qualcomm and Samsung has settled it this way. The largest two market is Qualcomm's and other is Samsung's.
                            But this year there has been again something between this two company as Qualcomm took back the SD865 production from Samsung at the last moment from Samsung.
                            I am hoping Samsung will come back stronger with AMD next year.
                            Samsung plans to invest $116 billion in logic chips through 2030. With that amount of money Samsung can buy Qualcomm 5 times.

                              First of all youre claiming all that to say exynos is weak. And use examples like oh play dolphin on exynos. Yes. We know Mali has not had as powerful a gpu lately. That doesn't make exynos "bad".
                              And the first 8 out of 10 gens saw the exynos being overall superior. Usually in combos of cpu, efficiency, and audio.
                              Even better in gpu in about 4 out of those 10. So no Snapdragon was not always the best in gpu either.
                              It's only the last 2 generations... Out of 10.. That Snapdragon has more lead now. Mainly due to their stronger gpu and their shift towards efficiency on their end.
                              The other is that Samsung moved from their far superior custom cores that were better pretty much every year to large core designing. Well that takes time. It took apple time. Qualcomm went their their throttle struggles. And they were closer to a much more finalized design. Not now.

                              And the Mali g77 is a large upgrade in gpu compared to last gen g76. Capable of matching the adreno 650.
                              However if Samsung truly sticks to only 11 cores then it will probably score a little lower. Better see some efficiency benefits though.

                              But I don't imagine i would have ever seen you complaining how terrible the Snapdragon variants were during the 8 out of 10 years that exynos was taking the lead.

SD865 has the whole world industry backing it in terms of software support while no 1 wants to hear Exynos.

                                  Try playing wii games on dolphin emulator on exynos, it stutters 10-38 fps while Snapdragon maintains a stable 50-60 fps...

                                  Why doesn't Samsung use those Exynos chips in US and their home town S.Korea... they use cheap Exynos in markets world wide to make massive profits while those chips can't even match Snapdragon ones.

                                  I say enough is enough... I'll never again buy a Exynos phone... I'd rather import a Snapdragon device and be satisfied in the years to come.

                                    Really hoping the LTE models come to markets like Canada where 5G will not reach 90% of us for the lifetime of those phones. Wish they could use a chipset with an integrated LTE radio.
