A rugged handset that doesn't skip on modern features and creature comforts might be just the tool for your job.

I seriously doubt someone would manage to sit down with any degree of normalcy with one of these in their forward jeans pocket, as shown. And yes, I very much was looking at Ulefone (and a bunch of even more obscure brands such as Cubot, Gigaset or Umidigi) before settling on an ASUS Zenfone but I was looking not so much for ruggedness but for a very much _low budget_ handset which nonetheless has an actual gyro - and those are incredibly rare, apparently.

That CAT is 800-1000euro,this beast is half the price..and better in every way, display, chipset, battery, even cameras...or try AGM,they make really good rugged phones, way cheaper than overpriced CAT...

If it had a Snapdragon 855/865 I would buy it in a heart beat, even if the price was a little higher. The reason I didn't consider the CAT S61 is the midrange SoC it uses, the same goes for this phone.

Very much looking forward to a review. Need a ruggered phone and no mainstream manufacturer seems to want to cater for it.

                What is it ?

I forgot about Ulefone. That is very impressive. Perfect for the outdoor sort of person. A surfer. A craftsman. Or someone who simply wants a bullet proof phone. Good to see great innovation. Even in armoured phones...

There is also Black View... That company does thermal/night view cameras. The that too is impressive and a completely different camera setup to most phones as they normally are equipped with a military style or spec night view. And. They are a rugged type of smartphone. These types of phones are also quite popular in certain eastern countries. And there seems to be an increasing demand for such types of phones in the professional demanding markets.

Most rugged phones are unattractive looking, but this one actually looks kinda cool & hardcore to me. Specs are also pretty decent. This might be a good one.
